Hi Trisha and welcome. take it easy and let your body heal slowly is my best advice. When and where do you have the ablation?

I had it done last Thursday. In broad green heart and chest hospital. This was my second ablation

Hi trish

i was in cath lab 3 at liverpool on the monday before you, so three days ahead of you.

I found everyone to be pretty effecient and well organised. what did you think?

Best wishes for your recovery, i'm sure it will take time.

Hi Dave

They were great. And looked after me really well

How are you feeling after the ablation ?

I'm not feeling too bad at all now. after three days (last thursday) i had a fairly major af incident. rang heart rytham nurse and consultant rang back within the hour. all normal and part of healing process. presctibed bisprolol for three weeks whilst scars form and heart healing.

Since then have been ok. feel free from any skipped beats - sre the drugs masking a problem?

Generally feel ok but still butterflies around heart!

Hoping for the best

how are you feeling now?

It is very early days for both of you, and you will probably get the odd episode in the early days. Remember although you don't have a big scar your heart has had some serous treatment and it will take time to settle down. Get plenty of rest and don't try to overdo things. And remember for a lot of people it takes longer to settle down. I was told 6 weeks by drs, but nursing staff said longer and they were right

AT LEAST three months is the expert opinion and quite often much longer.

you have not mentioned if there were different ablations? my first was to the 4 pulmonaries and the second was the main chamber 38 burns!

Not what you're looking for?

I had a pace and ablate procedure last year but my heart is again in AF, only 85-95, is this doing me any real harm if I just ignore it ?

I'm 75 and like to be active but get very tired easily. I was advised I could have yet another CV...
