I'm due to have ablation on Thurs 29th but I've Started with heavy cold and cough do you think I'll still be able to have it done?

I had a similar situation and they told me that provided that I was not bringing up any nasty stuff it would be OK. Bottom line is it is up to the anaesthetist to decide. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks for your response I'll have to see how it progresses I suppose, I've not had a cold for about a year so it's definitely 'sod's law'!

Sorry SuzieA I get a lot of Sod's Law too...just check it out with the hospital as BobD says....my job is in a hospital, and they tend to grade you as performance status 0,1,2,3 etc..before undertaking any procedure....if your problem involves the respiratory system they might not take the risk contact the secretary who will put you through to the appropriate clinician or get to see your GP and get clearance that way you don't want to miss your procedure....:)I hope you don't anyway...fingers crossed !

Thanks will do tomorrow as it's Bank Holiday, another 'sod's law' !

I'm always ill over a bank holiday or a weekend...yes sods law !
