I wonder if any members have had pa ce / ablate procedure and subsequently regret having done so ? Sandra

there was a talk at the conference in London on 24th on this- I think the AF association may put it on the website soon ( not sure if they can get all the clinicians' permission) but it explained which patients need to have ablate and pace.

Hi I,ve had both and up to now no regrets,5 months since pace 3 months since ablation only time will tell.Feeling better but not 100%,I suppose every body feels different after op.do you regret it.argzxoni61

Thanks for your reply . I have not had the op. - I am just gathering info from the experiences of others in case i am asked to make the decision!

Not had a pacemaker, but my first ablation (2005) was a 100% success for a long time. Had a 2nd one 8 years on because of a tiny bit of AF returning, as predicted by the EP, but the AF had disappeared by the time the op was booked so they couldn't do anything! Will no doubt be having a third hopefully this coming year.
