My wife has been diagnosed with P A T, And I have AF can someone please tell me the difference between the two.

What is PAT? I could guess at paroxysmal atrial tachycardia but have never heard the term used by medics. Atrial tachycardia is different to Atrial Fibrillation in that although contracting too fast it is more regular. All a guess though.

Did you mean PAD - peripheral arterial disease?

Bob D got it right. I think P.A. T. is paroxysmal atrial trachycardia . I believe the doctor told her it's not very serious and it writes itself.

The big difference between P.A.T. and AF is that the heart best during P.A.T is rapid and REGULAR, vs. rapid and IRREGULAR in AF. PAT rarely causes big problems and usually resolves quickly.
