Hi John
There are a number of people on the forum taking pradaxa, it's one of the newer anti-coagulants with the advantages over warfarin being that you do not need blood tests and there are no dietary restrictions.
Against this, if you were to have a thankfully rare "bleed" which can happen on all anti-coagulants, then there is no drug which reverses the effect of pradaxa unlike warfarin, however the half life of pradaxa is around 12-14 hours, so within a day it's down to 25% of it's effect.
I think the new anti-coagulants are really impressive, but I am still on warfarin, I would say nothing to worry about
Take care
Ian
