I recently posted about fighting depression, a year after diagnosis. Today I'm sharing some happy news...
Next week my wife and I are going to Paris through Christmas. When I had some worries and doubts about what I was physically (and mentally) going through, I wondered whether this would happen or not. Now, barring stepping in front of of a truck, it's happening.
Je suis tellement heureuse.

You mention your post on depression. I read it at the time and it actually really helped me.- It made me realize I needed help as well. So at my 3 monthly follow up I spoke with my "social nurse" and set it in motion. Not started yet but I feel better already 🙃.
We actually had similar treatment Orgovyx + 28 RT sessions. I didn't tell anyone outside my family and continued working. I work in IT, mostly from home, and so this was feasible. Recently I took my team to lunch to let them in on the "secret".
A few days after one of my colleagues asked me how the treatment was and how was I feeling. I'm not very good at expressing things like that (and these days generally start getting emotional) so I referred her to your comic book.
I read it again as well and it bought it all back. You had a tougher time than me with the waiting and travel but the rest of your experience really chimed with me. My colleague was really shocked and never imagined that I had been through all this while still working as if nothing had happened (we work pretty closely together).
So I thank you for this as well. I'm sure you hear a lot of praise but it is well deserved.
Added it here for anyone else who has not seen it.
Eh... Been there , done that. I guess I went up it in the past, but no real interest this time.
We just like to stay in a non-touristy place (Vincennes) and go to marchés, eat at cafes, walk everywhere, eat baguettes, and pretend we're living there. Love the lifestyle of the French.
Yeah, we might poke our heads in there (requires a reservation). Sad the towers aren't open. We used to like climbing it. May have to climb sacré-coeur instead.
Political views and associated bias should be left off of this forum. Doesn’t matter what side of the fence you’re on, it’s never self complementary. Let’s keep it about our PCa and trying to maintain our QoL.
Of course it's your opinion, I never said or implied that it wasn't. I just though that we all knew it was inappropriate to bring up politics or the hint/subject of politics on this site.
It could be determined if someone here performs the official military KWT "Kentucky Windage Test". You know the one where you wet (spit will suffice) the tip of your index finger and raise it above your head to determine which way the wind is blowing and obviously carrying odors with it.
Note: You can always use your middle finger instead and thus kill two birds with one stone.
And called a hero a minute later. A gift basket of Nathan's hot dogs and 8 pounds of Bodega Plátanos. Free lifetime weed, a free beat a subway passenger per week pass and a Ticker tape parade.
He loves it (moonrocket). One way or another he sees' a small glint of day light to interject his trolling views on politics, society. It gets annoying. Over and over again. He really gangs up on Tall Allen every chance he gets. Cant even have a thread about music we enjoy without him calling TA an elitist because of what music he listens to. I was thinking about why doesnt he just make a post titled "I hate Tall Allen and everything he and Jpburns stand for" and get it over with and quit interjecting his tropes into other peoples threads.
I was thinking maybe you should delete your post and start it over but actually I kind of like it when the troller's intentions and rudeness are here for all to see.
What are you talking about? I never ganged up on TA about music. Get your facts straight if you're going to post attacks on me. For that matter, I never ganged up on TA...I am allowed to disagree with him and I do so on occasion. As for jpburns, all I posted was he'll have just missed the president-elect.... that's not a political statement...just a fact. Geez
great to hear, Jp. Traveling requires physical and mental toughness—a great way to keep yourself on your game. And you’ll get to see Notre Dame Cathedral—reborn. Bon voyage!
Don't let em scare you like they tried to do to me 14 years or so ago. Just let the diagnosis make to never take a boring day for granted as it did for me. LIve on.
Good deal. Great to hear another brother with enough treatment benefit able to get some QOL.
Never commended, thanked you for a great work, your comic. So thanks lol.
And live the life. Living like the locals is the only way to go. My many business/service trips over the years I can also attest for that approach. Have fun man.
So happy to see new policies about to appear in the US. Politics is 100% not appropriate here. This is a place for support and caring. I’m happy to see conservatives back in office. So please remember there isn’t consensus on here about politics and it ruins the good will in the forum. God bless the new President. God bless America.
It was a necessary rebuttal to the hegemony that had been established. There are socialists, conservatives, centrists etc. on this forum. We can’t just air out our politics and I am really tired of being the one who has to remain quiet when others put down my political preferences in public. I won’t be quiet anymore. Our culture has been full of suppressing conservative voices by putting down leaders or policies. This is not the place for it.
Have a wonderful trip. I want you to know how much I’ve appreciated your artistic gift and the way you’ve used it to help us along. Thank you and enjoy. PCa makes us brothers in an odd way. My best wishes JP.
