Thanks for posting - I think it would be nice if this site made it possible for a systematic way that current circumstances could be shared. It's sad that people just kind of disappear.
Ahh yes, bet he was a really nice guy, and the pics of all the food he ate, cooked, and of course he loved his little dog,

the group loved GJ … he was so lovable of a great guy. It was agonizing to see how hard he worked fighting this stuff …. Nothing seemed to work very well for him towards the end , it was heart wrenching .
John was a consummate foodie and posted a lot of QOL food posts. His giant crab claws stick in my memory most….but there was so much.
It was so sad see him spiral down …and it seemed to happen quickly as well. GJ shared his fight with us publicly… this so the rest of us could see one example of a classy fighter handle his own passing.
The group was a better place because of Great John when he posted here. I miss him.

Thanks for bringing this old post back. As I read this post and looked at Sparky my first thoughts were not of John but for Sparky.
As a dog lover who has three to take care of I need to fight because what would happen to them if I could not love, feed or take care of them.
As I read further I assumed that in his case, Sparky would be taken care of by his partner but for others that may not be the case.
Always enjoyed his humor.
Do you know how his partner is doing ? He was starting to have some health issues.
