Only a month on vacation, but hot flashes are not as frequent or as long. Think my fatigue is a bit better. More shortness of breath and dizzy spells from my MDS, but not bad.Went to the dermatologist's and now waiting for two MOHS sessions to remove some skin cancers from the top of my head and ear. MOHS is where they remove a layer of skin, then look at it under a microscope for cancer cells. If any are present, they take of another layer and keep repeating as necessary. Very time consuming, but less damaging. Will share my experiences later.

I had a MOHS procedure to remove a basal cell carcinoma from forehead. Yes, it was a slow process but the scarring is minimal. I can’t really even see where it was. I got lucky and they only had to take one layer to get it all. Even with that it was nearly an hour long procedure by the time the analyzed the layer of skin and got me closed up. No pain at all.
Good luck with yours.
My husband has had so many MOHS I couldn't count them all. Most of his surgeries have lasted 3 to 5 hours but have always taken care of the problem. Too much time in the sun, the skin cancers started for him at age 40. He's 80 now. MOHS have always been successful.
Careful, skin cancer can metastasize in you lungs and then call in the big gun "Keytruda".
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Seems that cancers have been just waiting for me to come by. 3 different ones in 3 years. Even managed to get an appendectomy worked into the mix. The insights, sympathy and humor of this forum are great.
I've had a number of MOHS surgeries on my face. Too much sun exposure on the beach or caddying on Long Island when I was young.
