Anyone hear of a vaccine called prostvac? They pretty much have up on it at NIH but I heard they've tweeked it and now it's in clinical trials in Europe...

They have not found it effective by itself for CRPC...see recent ASCO post:

They do have other trials --one I like that is in combination with other drugs and vaccines--

At this point, PROSTVAC is a maybe....

I was in a PROSTVAC trail, post RP, so I used to read everything I could find on the drug. It has been largely unsuccessful, but the company is hoping to find it's way back into the market by using it as part of a combination therapy (2+ immunotherapy drugs).

Yeah, I signed up for a 2 arm trial at NIH. One arm was 'prostvac and Xtandi' ; the other was 'Xtandi alone'. I got in the 'Xtandi alone' group. I'm still getting Xtandi at NIH 4.5 years later (Everyone has to stay on Lupron too).

Prostvac is a fowl pox vaccine. Some woman had measles or chicken pox and her advanced breast cancer went away with whatever she had. This started the fowl pox idea. I didn't work so good for some reason.
