I just bought a regular sauna and cold plunge!!

I’ll go from 160 to 55 degrees

I’ll either kill my self or kill the metastatic cancer 😉😉😉

In all serious .... the reason for purchasing both is that it has always made me feel better

Cold temps are really good for your lymph nodes/blood circulation and inflammation etc

R u enjoying your infrared?

I need to ck the readings so it doesn’t give u more cancer

At the end of last year I had three metastasize lymph nodes and after some additional radiation coupled with Zytiga prednisone and the hormone therapy they went away

Let me know what you find out about the Infared I had asked my oncologist and he said it was OK but then again what do they know really ?

When I come out of the infrared which is 130° for 30 minutes I go outside of the spa to an ice cold shower similar to what you were doing

We have an IR sauna and my husband finds it useful - he feels so much better when he sweats - it raises the heart rate so is a good option when he is too fatigued to exercise. Finishing off with a cold shower gives an extra boost. He does it as a supportive therapy.

Feels great! I love saunas.

Oh yah! A basic homeopathic tool . Great for muscle and joint pain . Also chelates toxins. We need that . Go for it . Especially in cold climates wonderful .

I have the BioMat, one of the sleep upon mats that is far infrared. It did help me sleep. Unable to speak personally about any other outcomes. But I looked it up and found this article from a very reliable CAM nonprofit resource (CAM = complementary/alternative medicine). beatcancer.org/blog-posts/6...

I have a cheap infrared sauna that I bought on Amazon for $190 8 years ago. I still use it. Sometimes with ozone, mostly for whole body hyperthermia. I can raise my core temperature to 103-104 F in a few hours.

That is exactly why I love this site. I had no idea there was such an animal. We will soon be in nature's natural sauna around here. I looked at amazon and I will have one of those for next winter. I can hardly wait. I thank you sir.

Just a note I did not buy one I go to Hai spa that has infrared sauna

You might want to check to see how they are creating the heat- is it from ceramic or carbon heaters. Do they use crystals? Or is it a regular sauna? What you want is FIR from the crystals.

Thanks, I will check it out.

I use a FIR pad to sleep on,(all nite) set to 40C and then with the last 3 hours of sleep I put 20"X20" pad over my groin mets, set to 50C.

Benefits: the medium pad gives me better sleep (I have Narcolepsy) as well as no joint pain (scan showed I have arthritis everywhere).

The 20"X20" pad allowed me to stop Flomax. Been off since 5/7.

The best benefit of FIR is anti inflammatory, which I think is why I don't need a prostate med. I only get up once to pee, down from 1-3X.

Here is what I look for in a FIR Heating Pad:

1-3 crystals- jade, amethyst, tourmaline. Choose at least 2 crystals.

2-some have 10Hz built is for healing benefit- I don't have that

3-some have photon benefit, that is for superficial skin healing(acne, leprosy, etc) I don't have that.

4- stay away from Chinese brands

5-I sleep on the medium size(20X32) all nite.

After this it is up to you what size and benefits you want.
