Lutitium availability here and abroad

Except through trials can Lutitium be obtained in the US for treatment ? If so , how expensive is it , does a recognized cancer center procure it and do we have an idea as to cost of the recomended six cycles. If this is not possible which European site is suggested and does anyone have an idea of costs to be treated there including or excluding travel. Is it true that even good insurance coverage here would not help outside the US?

Only in clinical trials in the US, but some are not randomized if that is your concern. In Germany, available in Heidelberg, Munich or Bad Berka.

Where are the trials where all participants get Lutitium ? Do you have any contact info? Are Mayo and UCLA not taking on more paticipants recently?

Contact Scott Tagawa at Weill Cornell in NYC.

UCLA (and probably Mayo) have suspended recruitment for the randomized trial, pending changes in the protocol of the trial.

I think the clinic where Dr. Vogelzang works in LV is involved in a trial at this time.

I know that the Docrates Cancer Center, based in Helsinki, Finland, treats metastatic PCa with Lutetium and have patient from all over the world. Maybe unknown in US?

Cost is about $10.000 per treatment. 2 - 6 treatments could be needed.

Google "Docrates Cancer Center".

You can be treated in Australia. Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. Trials being done in Melbourne. Cost about US$7000 per injection. Minimum two, but likely 4 required, about 6 to 8 weeks apart. You would need a successful PSMA PET/CT scan that shows PCa in the bones, etc. Have a look at Theranostics Australia web site. My brother has had two lots of 2 injections. The first two cleared his PCa, but it returned about 18 months later.
