They were trying Lu-177-PSMA-I&T at the Technical University of Munich in clinical trials. I don't know if they switched from Lu-177-PSMA-617 on their standard protocol.

Why do you ask?

They use Lu-177 PSMA I&T at the Technical University of Munich. The Wolfgang Maximilian University uses the Lu 177 PSMA 617. The I&T ligand is a smaller molecule than the 617 ligand and have the theoretical advantage of getting inside the cancer cells more frequently or in a larger proportion of the administered dose than the 617 ligand.

This is great info. I'm going for a participation interview for a Lu-177 trial next week and you've given me a great question. Thank you!!

are there any clinical trials to back this up?

I do not know of any clinical trial comparing Lu 177 PSMA vs Lu 177 PSMA 617 . As I said the Lu 177 PSMA IT has a theoretical advantage.

How did it work for you?

Very well. I had a large number of lymph nodes metastases in the pelvis and abdomen up to the renal arteries. One treatment took care of all the metastases. The result of the treatment has been confirmed by 2 Ga 68 PSMA PET/CT done 5 weeks and 2 years after the treatment.

That's absolutely fantastic, V pleased for you- another success story. We were considering TUM and still could its just we didn't recognise the ligand I&T , everyone talks about the 617 but I guess if its more effective that's even better. Are there any links on its properties you could post?

Lu 177 DOTAGA is the same than LU 177 IT.
