My PSA never went past 6 and same Gleason score as yourself. All the best going forward Tom.

In 2012 my Gleason after biopsy was 4+5 as well (locally advanced - no metastasis). PSA never above 5.7 and have since been on IADT that kept it below 0. When off ADT it creeps up to about 4 and then I go back on it again. Had hyperthermia + high dose Vit C in Europe (including trans-urethral hyperthermia) in 2013 and 2014. In Fall 2015 had 45 sessions of IMRT. Will go off ADT soon to take a break from SEs and see what happens.

Your on xtandi already, after being diagnosed 3 years ago? Forgive me but I find that absurd. You should probably be casodex. Xtandi is very expensive and should not be considered until later after the diagnosis.

There are many treatments that should be used before xtandi. Radiation and other hormonal oblation treatments. I would seriously question your doctor.

Started with Casodex and Lupon. Casodex failed, went to Flutamdie, in two months my PSA went to a level higher than my score before Prostate removal. Doctor recommended Xtandi, I had second opinion with another Dr. at different cancer center before going to Xtandi. My PSA has more than halved since then.

Ok, now it makes sense. I could not take nilandron or flutamide the side affects were too much. If Xtandi fails sometime in the future there is aboraterone. I was on a for aboraterone and it work for 3 years.

My Dr. did not list that one, he still has a list of drugs that we are to use in the future. Thanks for the advice about Aboraterone, I'll ask about it on my next visit. Got MRI's scheduled for next week [spine]. They are thinking about radiation. How long have you been taking treatment?
