Hello-firstly I hope your pain has subsided - sending huge hugs. I suffer horribly with back pain- like early labour pain. I usually try the old tricks - hot water bottle * but so hot that it distracts from pain, paracetamol/ibuprofen (I have stronger meds but reluctant to take) and do everything I can to distract myself- exercising, brisk walking, baking (major concentration needed!)I also use an ovira tens machine.

You might want to think about posting your question on the endometriosis forum. The girls are just so helpful xxxx

I’m on the other site for adenomyosis that’s what’s causing my back pain. I use heating pad no meds really work I’m just tired of the pain don’t get much sleep either. Thanks for the advice and the hugs 😊

Alot of the girls on the endo site also have adeno. This forum seems so quiet- any questions I've and about adeno have been answered by the girls on the endo forum.Tens machine has helped me -but it's such a personal thing. Xx

Oh wow! Exercising, brisk walking and baking!! That’s amazing that you can do that while you’re in pain! My pains render me immobile there’s no way at all that I would be able to do all that even on a good pain- free day!! 😭😭😭

Hi I have had chronic low back pain for about a year now, I was recently diagnosed with adenomyosis and I’ve always thought my pain was connected to my heavy periods and womb but My Dr didn’t think it could cause back problems.I really do feel like nobody takes this chronic pain seriously, been offered no xray or scan and am living on painkillers and heat wraps. The Drs think it’s weak back muscles yet I’ve been a carer for years so I’d of thought they were well used and strong!

I would find a new dr 😑 if they don’t take it seriously or think it’s your back then leave but that’s what I would do

Hello, I also suffer with extreme back pain due to adenomyosis and have done since the start of my period I haven’t quite mastered it yet myself because any strenuous activity will cause literal crunching of my back and forced me to sit/lie down

My go to is a hot water bottle and lying down and resting- sounds trivial but it somehow works for me and then if that doesn’t work then I will take pain relief

Unfortunately until we have this uterus it’s something that we just have to learn different strategies of how to cope with 😢

I wish I had more advice than that and I wish there really was something substantial out there that could give us relief from our pain

Apparently the government are focusing on endometriosis/adenomyosis now to find a cure so I’m hopeful that now that it’s coming out into the light that there might be something out there soon for us xxx until then we Endo/adeno sisters have to stick together xxx

Hi, I really suffer With bad Low back pain , in particular the sacroiliac joint . I have been told that this is common with endo but I’m not sure if there’s another cause like some sort of arthritis, I have also been told I have a bulging disc and then see physio that said it’s weak muscles . I would just like to be tested/scanned and maybe see a Rheumatologist rather than everyone guessing and telling me different things.

I’m sry that there are other issues causing the back pain and I hope u get tested soon. It’s not easy at all to deal with and I don’t think I could deal w anymore. I don’t even know how I get up in the morning but I was turned to icy hot patches and surprisingly it does help so I will be living w those on til I can have surgery 🤷‍♀️.
