Anyone here on Active Surveillance?

I am, but just diagnosed. PSA 6.2, Gleason 7 (3+4), oncocyte low risk. I am 76 years old in fair health.
Hi, I'm considering AS as well. 64 3+4, 5% 4. How long have you been AS? How much 4 do you have? Has your 4 grown at all? Anything else important to know? Thanks.

Hello Mike, Like yourself I am a favourable -intermediate risk @10% 4. I have weighed my options (see attached study of 30,000 intermediate-risk patients) and have been on active surveillance for 2 yrs. The second MRI did show some growth, so I have implemented a keto diet with various supplements combined with fenbendazole. My PSA had been slowly climbing from 5.2 up to 6.8 over a year and one half, but with this protocol it dropped to 4.8 & 4.7 the last two tests over the previous 6 months. Still trying to get another MRI date set ( Canadian medical is in a mess here!)
Irregardless as per the study, my survival rate after 5 yrs shows approx 95% and 10 yr sits at 81%. This for me is worth steering clear of all side effects! You have time, research cancer fighting supplements on PubMed and cut out sugar for starters. Once you start taking an active role it will help alleviate most of your worries! Here' another tip, the PubMed research papers along with any others are generally written for the experts, so simply CUT & PASTE those articles into Xai GROK 3 and hit DeepSearch (presently the new version beta is FREE) Cheers
Thanks Columbo. You and I are thinking alike.
im on AS .. have been since Dec.2018.... gleason 6...
Just had a thought as I read your title. “We are all on AS”.
It does not matter what stage (treated/untreated) we are all of some form of active surveillance.
One and a half years. Gleason 6 .72 years old.
Have you had a repeat biopsy after 1 yr which is SOC for AS
Yes, and it shows some growth. Have had some Dr's specializing in Tulsa- Pro report back that I'm still good for that procedure (fingers crossed) Curious as to what protocols (if any) you are using while watching your PSA & having ur yearly MRI? Cheers to you all
