Hi there, I am not sure what FI stands for, but I thought I'd reassure you that this forum is a great place to come to if you're suffering from achalasia. I don't come on here often, but when I was first diagnosed a year ago, I felt very supported by responses and comments from this group. I hope you have the same experience.

Fl stands for Florida and I appreciate you replying to me as when I talk to even my home health nurses don't know what acolacia is and I was in the hospital for blood clots when a GI doctor after stretching my throat did a swallow test and he called a Dr. From Orlando Florida to break the news to me and I was discharged 15 mins. Later as hospital didn't know how to nourish me. This was in dec.2020 and since then I have had more test then answers. I was told he could build me a new stomach with botox in January 2021 but my primary dr sent me to a new dr. And I've been testing since. I have multiple sclerosis so I have issues with that also. I'm living alone and on clear diet and smoothies as tolerated. Is anyone on disability for this disease? I appreciate the wealth of information this group has on the site. God bless us all, Susie

Oh sorry! I thought it might be, but wasn't sure :-). This forum is fantastic for information and just for some personal understanding and reassurance.
