Nannyplum,

sorry to hear that things are so difficult and sorry that I wasn't up to saying anything yesterday - it is difficult to know how to help without knowing more.

In terms of posts this forum tends to be really quiet - you might find that you get a better response on the Action on Depression forum or even the Anxiety Support forum.

i believe with lustral which is setraline you need to balance its intake with help from a CBT therapist or counselling. i have taken this stuff from 50mg to 100mg for several months. it gives you a false high and that high needs to be tamed and kept in check with assistance from a therapist. if you can't get hold of therapist on the NHS or feel you can't wait you're best to go private, try a google search online for therapist in your local area. if you're having wierd side effects as a result from the medication go back to your GP and if you feel your GP hasn't helped and side effects haven't gone or worsened then visit your local A&E or samaritans helpline.

The Samaritans are my angels, they have carried me and are still carrying me, I don't know what I would have done without them.I am also skeptical of medication... crutch/side effects/dependence ???

To Nannyplum, if you are still around, I am starting to take Lustral, would you like to be my friend for a while

maybe we can support each other. I have suffered from depression my entire life and self destruct thoughts have never been far away, have managed to hold until now,now I am exhausted and have asked for help.
