The last lap? Advice please.
Diagnosed in April 2019, with excruciating pain, classic very high inflammatory markers, no response to prescribed NSAID's, and a "miraculous" 8 hour response to Pred. I have been lucky and have managed a steady and flare-free reduction (using DSNS and 2am doses) with temporary stalling for a month

Gastric bypass
Now my migraines are mor symptomatic and I’ve had my gastric bypass so
NSAIDS
are a big no. The tryptans don’t do a lot for me. I am on Botox that has definitely helped. The only pain medication that was prescribed me was Tylenol 3 that didn’t work well and my HMO treated me like a drug addict.

Back pain and Ovaries - what fun
My renal function stays steady with an eGFR of 60 but didn’t improve a smidge with stopping
NSAIDs
. If any of you know of any luck spells, send them my way. I could use some right now.

Back pain and surprises
Managed with PT and
NSAIDs
for almost 2 years. Beginning of this year, pain just wouldn’t let up so I asked for meloxicam. Meloxicam worked amazingly well but was nixed after my kidney function declined and liver enzymes went up (what’s new).

KEEPING A LID ON BLOOD PRESSURE DURING THE CONONAVIRUS CRISIS
Decongestants and painkillers called
NSAIDs
, such as naproxen and ibuprofen, can increase blood pressure. People with heart concerns should limit or avoid them. Some prescription drugs.

Nsaids and a fracture
I have been reading that
nsaids
are really bad when recovering from a fracture. I couldn't find any definitive as to whether or not prednisone interferes with the healing of a fracture. If anybody knows anything about this I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

Anyone taking NSAID's while on Blood Thinners
My orthopedist prescribed a one month course of daily Meloxicam (Mobic) for my shoulder pain. Mobid is an NSAID like Ibuprofen, Advil, Alleve, etc. Both my primary doctor and EP were concerned because I'm on the blood thinner, Xarelto. The pharmacist said the combination OK as long as long as it wasn't

Child proton pump inhibitor use may increase asthma risk.
Patients not exposed to asthma-related medications (
NSAIDs
and acetaminophen) also had a higher asthma risk due to PPIs (adjusted HR of 1.93 in the
NSAIDs
cohort and 1.88 in the acetaminophen cohort). https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fphar.2020.00607/full

NSAIDs Might Exacerbate or Suppress COVID-19 Depending on Timing, Mouse Study Suggests.
(
NSAIDs
= Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, eg Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Paracetamol ) New research shows that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (
NSAIDs
) reduced both antibody and inflammatory responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection in mice.

Covid Vaccine Experience! Sometimes you've just got to put your big girl pants on and be brave xx
I am not in any blood thinning medication,
NSAIDs
, Immunosuppressants, NOTHING. I can confirm that I had the Oxford, AstraZeneca vaccine despite my Medical history. I braced myself last night for the impact of feeling horrendous but to my surprise, I don't feel as bad as I thought I would.

Alive regarding pain relief please
Hi just looking for a bit of advice for analgesia. I've got NAFLD cirossis stage 4. I am suffering at the moment with a flare up of diverticulitis and need to take analgesia. I know NSAID's are a no no , but codeine is that ok ? I've looked around for info but not really found an answer.

Misdiagnosed with PMR??
One further way to help the diagnosis was to try me on
NSAIDS
, which generally work well for AS and not for PMR. I have a bleeding disorder so the safest one is Celebrex. I started it Tuesday and what a difference. My stiffness went away and almost all my pain.

Hiv transmition by a syringe stick
If you find a syringe in the trash, and you accidentally stick yourself on it or you think that you have. Will you get hiv? Does the hiv virus live the syringe or is it different by injecting it and to get a syringe stick on your finger?
