Recommendation for gloves and socks?
Hi Guys, Further to my Post on the Lupus forum (link below) can I ask for recommendations for suitable super warm gloves and socks please? I spent a fortune on some silver lined socks and gloves and found them to be absolutely useless. My M&S bought socks are better than the extortionate silver lined

I'm struggling with pain and fatigue but feel my rheumatologist will not permit me to have my mabthera infusion
It look 5 long years to diagnose my rheumatoid until everything seemed to go. My consultant at the time apologised- I think I was sero- negative.. but then it showed up and I finally got treatment. I have tried various combination of drugs and was finally put on mabthera. My new rheumatologist says

Discoid Lupus
Hello Everyone, I have been suffering with discoid lupus for 5 years now. i have had some pretty nasty flare ups since being diagnosed. One flare up resulted in having to spend 2 weeks in hospital. I recently had another flare up… After nearly 12 months in remission… And I started to get bald patches

Hemorrhoids from higher cholesterol
I thought I'd ask if this is common for other people. I suspect my Hemorrhoids have got quite bad as a result of slightly underactive thyroid. My cholesterol is mildly high - 5.7 when it should be below 5. Also I have gilberts syndrome which is high bilirubin. When I fasted or went more than 6 hrs without

Weight problems and insensitive people
I've been so self conscious since gaining so much weight from my underactive thyroid that I'm basically a hermit in my own home, I barely go outdoors, for fear of being called up on my weight gain, or "looking well". Today I decided to go outdoors only to bump into an old acquaintance who couldn't resist

Discoid lupus
Hi. I have just got results of biopsy. I have discoid lupus, I have also had full blood checks and came back clear. Every where I read says discoid lupus only affects the skin. But I have been experiencing joint pain pretty much every part of my body where there's joints, stiffness, extreme fatigue.

road to diagnosis
Hi everyone, I don’t know where to start… it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster so far. It all started when I started getting redness and discolouration in both feet. My GP did a blood test and referred me to my rheumatologist for further assessment. My rheumatologist felt that my feet getting red was

Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

I have been treated for underactive thyroid for around 30 years. The past decade I keep experiencing what is like very severe cold symptoms on a regular basis. My body produces excess amounts of thick green slimy sticky mucous, my sinuses get blocked, I have endless nasal drip/cough and it makes me really
