Surgery Tomorrow
Hi fellow warriors, I’m planned to have a total abdominal hysterectomy tomorrow & I was already feeling anxious etc but now tonight I’ve discovered the biggest horrible boil on the top of my inner thigh. Thanks to Lupus I do often suffer with boils on my thighs but why now???? It’s going to be so embarrassing

Just whining
Have had PMR for 2 years and was at 8 mgs trying to go down but just hurt all the time then I went through treatment for skin cancer and was told steroids are not helping with this it can fuel the cancer and bring down my immune system. They are ok with 5mg but I am constantly in pain as I should be

Hostile environment: have you been denied treatment by the NHS?
Has anyone here suffered from ineligibility? Given the recent record of The Guardian in breaking and running with some major stories, contacting them with your story might well be worth the time and effort. I hope. [i]

Muscle atrophy
My father experiences muscle atrophy. His whole life he was skinny (he can eat whatever he liks but never gains weight), but had muscles. Now that summer is coming and he is wearing short sleaves, I noticed his arms and chest became very weak. He was diagnosed in September 2016 after TURP procedure

Pain in leg and abdomen
I'm new here so greetings everyone. I'm suffering due to lyme disease and left leg lymphedema. 1. Do you think that my lymphedema may be connected with lyme disease? 2. I'm sitting with my leg elevated most of the time during the day. Since few months I started to have pain in the leg. Now the pain progressed

Doses (grains) advice after thyroidectomy
Hi everyone! Sorry for my English, I am Italian, so my English won't be perfect! ;-) On the 26th April, so last week, I went through thyroidectomy because of a thyroid cancer (a TIR 3a then revealed as a cancer). Before this, I started to be cured with Nature Thiroid because I suffered from subclinical

chronic nail biting (new here, warning graphic descriptions)
i've been biting my nails since i was 4/5... i want to get answers quickly so i'll keep this short. it's like whenever i see or feel any growth or length or white edge on my nails my mind is screaming at me to bite, bite bite. i can't stop. the bad-tasting polish does not work as i can ignore the taste

Lyme’s disease and RA
I have a question for everyone. Has anyone ever gotten Lyme’s disease after you’ve been diagnosed with RA? If so did it make your RA pain worse following treatment? I found a tick about 4 weeks ago and had slight aches and pains then I found another tick last week now my joints hurt bad and I feel flu-ish
