First Post. Uniquie Symptoms?
I have read now for 2 years and 3 months. At first I could barely follow. I wanted to thank you all. A heartfelt thank you. The information has been critical in my journey. It also helps to know that I am not alone in being abused by those in the medical field. A hematologist said to me. "Well

Advice with my results please
Hi, I was diagnosed with under active thyroid in September and started on 50mg thyroxine. I have been symptomatic for a while (a few years), but was sent for bloods as my periods have gone nuts, results came back as TSH 8.7 and T4 14.8. I have also had a neck ache/headache pretty much constantly since

Ibuprofen with pred? The answer …
After going round a couple of unproductive loops trying to speak to a doctor about whether I could take Ibuprofen to ease my
pain
from
arthritis
in my hip, I followed my physio’s suggestion and asked a pharmacist: excellent advice!

Southern Counties Champs report. Take the good with the bad!
I think it’s about time I wrote a race report. Mainly because there haven’t been any yet this year for me till now. 😂 What went well? 1. My dodgy right ankle was in remission and during the warmup I didn’t feel any pain. Mind you, I did take a lot of painkillers just in case along with a good amount

Hi folks, only recently joined the group and I'm reading in a lot of the posts that people have been referred to a specialist/consultant. Is this the norm? I was diagnosed Sept '21 but because of Covid I've not even seen a doctor! Was on pred from Sept '21 to November '22. I was ok when tapering down

Colonoscopy side effects
I had a colonoscopy earlier this week . I learned on friday that it showed i had collagenous colitis. i will be prescribed steroids. Since the colonoscopy i have developed horrific lower back pain which conventional pain killers don’t help. Can’t take anti inflammatory drugs as on blood thinners.

64 year old woman with osteoarthritis and very overweight. Anyone else struggling with similar?
just started again after 2 years. Probably 4th go. Didn’t manage to keep on after last course and while doing full time sedentary office job. Just finished first week’s runs. Is it possible to feel a little bit better after such a short time? Doubt my ability to increase from 1 minute jogs/runs though

I take turmeric and this is supposed to help with
arthritis
. I am taking codeine, oramorph, pregaboline and have a

patch but these don't help with inflamation. I was going to see the pain specialists but none of this happened.

Down on Life
Homeless, constantly battling
pain
from untreated
arthritis
, and no hope of making anything better. I sit down each day at night and wonder how I'm going to get through another day. Wondering why everyone around me seems to be able to do alright, despite everything going on.

”CONFUSED” UPDATE
Well, I increased my Pred to 9 mg for 5 days but didn’t go straight back to my previous dose (4.5mg) but went to 6mg. So far the flu-type symptoms have gone but I still have a low-grade headache, plus pain in both shoulders and in the neck. I have tried taking paracetamol but this only has minimal
