Antidepressant - lack of motivation
Hi...I am currently taking Prozac for anxiety and depression (I also have ocd). Lack of sleep due to my anxiety was a big factor in starting this medication. Though my sleep and my anxiety have definitely improved, I lack motivation to do anything. I have no interest in doing the things I used to

Antidepressant
I was diagnosed with copd a month ago and so far I have not accepted my condition and very depressed and I think nothing but my case day and night and I feel I will lose my mind and think to go to a psychiatrist. My question is whether one of you was like me and his psychology improved and accepted

Stopping all antidepressants?
Has anyone successfully gotten off all
antidepressants
? The SSRI's I became allergic to, the Wellbutrin sped me up to the point of wanting to check myself in somewhere. I have a call into my Psychiatrist to see what we can do.

Missing outer third of eyebrow. Endocrinologist disagrees that it is a symptom of hypothyroidism.
Her GP tried to fob her off with
antidepressants
, but after going through the pain of being ignored for years myself, I convinced her that wasn't right. We managed to get the GP to agree to an appointment for her with an endo, which took place today.

Medications for hot flashes?
Has anyone had any experiences, positive or negative, with
antidepressants
or any other medications for hot flashes? My instinct has been to avoid any additional meds,
antidepressants
in particular because they are hard to get off of, but lately I'm thinking the costs might be worth it.

Medical Marijuana
My Psychiatrist has recommended trying Medical marijuana for my severe anxiety and panic attacks. I am a little scared to try this. Has anyone had experience with this and can you still use your antidepressant with it?

Sorry for long post! Need advice!
Then I have my first ever panic attack and end up getting diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder that I can't get to go away, so I try
antidepressants
and Ativan. They seem to help some.

Amitriptyline antidepressant for IBS
I am finally being referred to a dietician after my visit to the Doctor yesterday. I am happy with this as the chronic constipation and awful bloating is really getting me down. However he also prescribed me with Amitriptyline for IBS and depression. Looking up the side effects I'm not sure I want to

Not always a piece of cake
I have now been told to see my GP for some
antidepressants
. I don't want them, yet I think my protestations that I am just frustrated may not be quite as true now. I have no motivation for anything, a sure sign that there maybe a flicker of depression creeping in.

Unresolved thyroid issue?
I asked the doctor to never mention
antidepressants
again. They did try and send me to an endo but because bloods were ‘normal’ the appointment was refused. I waited patiently for this but surgery did not tell me. The issue of antibodies does not concern doctors and this scares me.

Hi Ashy83, As a fellow migraine sufferer myself and a medic I can tell you that Amitriptyline is actually a antidepressant first and for most but is used for a number of other conditions, in low doses it is a valuble drug for helping to control pain levels in conjunction with other medications and in

Photos of my weekend on the river.Wild swimming, a bit like antidepressants, you have to go through the pain before you get the benefits.
It has just struck me that there is a parallel for some people with getting used to taking
antidepressants
. You have to stay with the hard part of getting used to them when you first start to take them before you gain from them in the long run. Kim

Three cheers for Dr Max the ‘mind doctor‘.
But the
antidepressants
prescribed by GPs have failed to make them better, hence why they have been referred to a mental health specialist. In cases like these, we always do a blood test, which often reveals what is really wrong: an underactive thyroid, also known as hypothyroidism.
