Supplements - Dangerous, Essential or Useless?
Wizard recently made an interesting post on the "drive to minimize supplementation" that I wanted to respond to in-depth. The post: https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/150006558/the-drive-to-reduce-minimize-supplementation I decided a long form response would be better, thus my separate post here.

Goat whey, casein, IGF-1 etc. - Do they promote or slow cancer growth?
I've been trying for many years to decide whether to take a protein powder supplement to help maintain muscle mass. Since I started on ADT in 2016, I've lost 30 pounds. I don't know how much is due to the ADT, and how much is due to my diet. I'm 172 pounds now. I was muscular and athletic at 202,

Health News: Nourishment for Eyes
When my Mom was 6, an Alsatian (German Shepherd) dog jumped up on her, jarring her head round to look, left her with a cast in her right eye. Known as strabismus, the ancient Greek for squinting. More accurately, it means the affected eye can’t really focus and can thus appear as a cross-eye. Off her

GP no help, ongoing symptoms
I have no chnage in symptoms after stopping drinking, eating spicey food and following the
acid
reflux
advice. I'm at a loss at what to do, does anyone think this is
acid
reflux
or could i have injured my shoulder that's causing some nerve issues in my throat?

bisphosphonates and dizziness
I started taking alendronate (70mg once a week) about 10 weeks ago. I was very dubious about it but did lots of research and ultimately decided to give it a go having read accounts from people who are housebound/ in constant pain due to their osteoporosis. Initially I seemed to be tolerating it well.

Do I need to take Alendronate?
Hi everyone, I Got the results of my DEXA bone scan, and I'm not sure if I need to be on Alendronate. (My rheumy prescribed it to me before these results came in, just saying "since you're going to be on steroids long term you need it.") Can someone tell me if the numbers below warrant me being on
