Spinal compression
I have recently sadly sustained another spinal compression which is really painful this time. Not helped by the fact it has taken my doctors so long to sort out medication for me. I had my first in August last year and I’ve still not started on any programme after failing to get along with alendronic

Stopping med for gastroscopy
I have lived with
acid
reflux
for most of my life (now 52). I had antibiotic treatment for an ulcer about 20 years ago which worked really well. I’ve taken 20mg of omeprazole for a long time. This was increased to 40mg in January after symptoms got worse. Had a stool test - no H.pylori detected.

Book "Let Food be your medicine" by Don Colbert, MD
He covers a number of common illnesses. I only summarise what I consider the main points from the section on cancer with the hope of stimulating discussion. He does not claim to cure cancer and says "but it does help, and we have helped hundreds of patients treat (manage or control) their cancer".

Nutrition and supplements
Does anyone follow with an integrative oncologist? I am recently diagnosed, not requiring treatment at this time and would like to optimize my health and seek out natural approaches to treatment as long as I can. I have been researching nutrition and supplements to help in this battle. Does anyone

Loathe am I to criticise the NHS in UK as it’s such an amazing privilege to have free health care but following the messages from forum users elsewhere in the world I realise that sometimes we get what we’re given and don’t necessarily get the best healthcare. I m scared I’m blindly heading towards

Risendronate versus Alendronic Acid
I have been on AA for 20 months now and the side effects are getting worse. Eyes, headaches, tiredness and brain fog. My Doctor suggests I try Risendronate instead. Has any one any info or advice they can give me. Is it worth a try?

What is your take on Soybean? 🧐🤔
Edamame has always been my favorite snack since I was little. I usually steam and sprinkle a little bit of sea salt. You may find edamame prepared the same way as appetizer when you go to a sushi restaurant. I found many health benefits from edamame but one thing I’m concerned is phytoestrogen or isoflavones

Bile reflux? Or acid?
My IBS/GERD has been absolutely fantastic lately. Zero symptoms. I've gained a few pounds and my anxiety is hiding due to being able to go places without gas/d* or any stomach problems. However, last night after drinking some tap water my stomach became very fragile. I turned on my left side in bed

Hi guys, does anyone know how long I am supposed to wait before I start taking Tranexamic Acid again? I’ve been bleeding for a month and after taking TXA it stopped for a few days. The bleeding has returned within a week so just wondering how long I need to wait before I can take TXA again? Thanks in

Not Sure What Is Causing This
My GP did send me for a scan for the hernia, but he was of the opinion that it was
acid

causing the cough. I've also been diagnosed with Crohn's in 2015. That seems to be quite mild on the grand scale of things though. It's the cough that's most annoying.

Abdominal pain
Hi everyone, I had a horrible experience yesterday and wondered whether it could have had anything to do with pred (now on 11mg having started on 15 on 10th March this year) or with the alendronic acid (70ng) I take each Saturday or even the lansoprazoke (30mg) I take daily? I suddenly developed an

Third lot of prednisolone this year, advice
Gave in and rang out of hours GP this morning to ask for prednisolone she says sounds like
acid
reflux
. Already taking 20mg omeprazole daily, she advises to take it twice a day and Gaviscon before bed. She prescribed the prednisolone reluctantly.
