Why has my PSA declined dramatically since Xtandi failed?
(Before starting Xtandi, I had 3 years on
Zytiga
). I’ve had 2 PSA tests since quitting Xtandi. Results of the 1st lab: my PSA dropped from 46 to 33. 2nd lab last week: PSA down to 17. Also, I’ve added back 14 of the 55 pounds I lost in the last 5 months.

My PSA has been .02 for the last year but my testosterone is climbing. Why?
I have been on Lupron,,
Zytiga
and Pred for the last two years. I was thinking of a drug vacation because of my low PSA but the rising testosterone is worrying me. Any thoughts gentlemen?

One year and change... and change... and change
That the pain is the
Zytiga
working. That the pain is anything other than the cancer eating him from the inside out. I'm drinking too much. That's probably obvious from this post. I no longer know how to help him, or help myself. Love to you all. Thank you for letting me dump it all here.

Previous photon radiation to pelvic & lumbar=>proton beam radiation?
He is also taking
Zytiga
(6.5 weeks now), which I think is not working. Would it be prudent for him to have proton beam radiation since it's ill advised to have photon radiation to the same area more than once?

My father has extreme pain in his legs
He is currently taking
zytiga
/prednisone and Lupron shots. I feel like this extreme leg pain started with those meds. He is taking OxyContin 10 mg 2x a day and oxycodine 5mg in between no more than 3 a day he is allowed. He said the only thing that helps is Aleeve but dr told him to stop taking it.

The Difficult Question most all of us will face.
Zolodex, Lupron, Casodex, Erleada, Xtandi,
Zytiga
w\predisone, now Docetaxel. We discussed the options again and how they could buy time or not. 1) Continue with Chemo but use Cabazitaxel instead: Cabazitaxel he said was more toxic and may be less tolerated than Docetaxel.

Zytiga Has Stopped. What's next
PSA started at 250+ in November. Got down to 7 in April. Since then has risen to 19 in July. Had a bone and CT scan. Unfortunately it was mixed news. There is evidence of progression in my bone disease. However, spots on my lung and Kidney are gone. My Onc wants me to start on Xgeva in two weeks

Spontaneous twitchy wrist
Onc says

not the cause (I have been on it for 21 months), COC say their drugs (metformin etc) very unlikely to be the cause (been on them for a year), and I am on many of the Jane McLelland recommended supps: berberine, curcamin, low dose aspirin, loratadine, HCA, quercetin, ursolic acid, resveratrol

To state the obvious: early use of Zytiga or Xtandi extends survival in APC
. •
Zytiga
and Xtandi have been proven to add years of life in the mHSPC setting in some men, and months in the mCRPC setting, so avoiding those medicines will reduce expected survival. • A recent study at Johns Hopkins showed that the t-SCNC subtype is less virulent than de novo SCNC https://

Docetaxel vs Zytiga
This lab work was ordered by my Urologist, who upon seeing it recommended continuing on Lupron and adding
Zytiga
. He also recommends laser ablation of my prostate to deal with frequent urinations which recently have become slightly painful and sometimes bloody.

Reformulating Zytiga -
I have read several posts about those who are able to halve the dosage of
Zytiga
with a meal/med plan - so I thought this article was interesting.

Update
Had radiation, Lupron and
Zytiga

Two nodules in Lungs
His treatment these years has been
Zytiga
, Prednisone and Lupron every 3 months. Today we have been told that PSA remains undetectable and there is no progress in bone metastasis. However, two small nodules (less than 5 mm) have been detected in his lung.
