Muscle weakness on Lupron/Zytiga
Lately I’ve been having awful weakness in my legs…l’ll get down on my knees to do something and I can’t get up without grabbing onto something to pull myself up. Is this normal for one or both of those drugs? Kind of worries me that my mobility could be affected. Thanks!

Am I ‘immunocompromised’ if on ADT?
I’m certain that chemotherapy would count but I’m wondering if hormone suppression drugs such as
Zytiga
, Lupron , etc would be considered the same. Thanks for any insight!

Worn Out Wings
With the Eligard/
Zytiga
regimen I'm on, the tears come easy reading of all the suffering, frustrations and the gauntlets we must run. It all comes down to asking yourself, What do I have to live for?

Starting an Immunotherapy trial
I’m 3 years in and I have tried
Zytiga
and Docetaxel both have failed, I was planning on going on Xtandi, but got into an immunotherapy trial at Northwestern Medical Center. It’s called ARC-6. I am in an arm that will be receiving etrumadenant, zimberelimab, and AB680.

ADT Vacation
Today I received my final 3 mo Eligard injection and will no longer need to take the daily abiraterone acetate (
zytiga
) and prednisone. I have a withdrawal schedule for the prednisone that I developed with my MO. My psa <0,01 and T < 1 ng/dl. Pretty good result I think.

Zytiga and Prednisone at night
Is it ok for him to be taking his
Zytiga
and Prednisone at night instead of the morning? Hoping to have more energy during the day.

Switch to generic Zytiga
My insurance carrier has switched me from
Zytiga
to Abiraterone Acetate , which I know is the generic equivalent effective 01/21. My only concern at this point is my PSA has increased from .04 in January to .12 in July, could there possibly be a correlation? Same dosage.

Liver problems with Zytiga
My MO put me back on 500 mg
Zytiga
and will continue to monitor liver function weekly. My MO said that I was one of the unlucky 6% that have liver issues. Has anyone else had this problem with
Zytiga
?

Zytiga - Abiraterone - To take or not to take right now
The oncologist recommended I start taking
Zytiga
/Abiterone right away and my uro-oncologist felt that I should not burn a treatment right now that I can use in case of a recurrence. Upon further discussion with my wife we decided to postpone taking the abiterone until we decide otherwise.

My experience with Lu-177
Diagnosed in June 2020 following an iliac thrombosis, with a PSA of 30 and lymph node then bone metastases, I was treated with primary hormone therapy (Decapeptyl) then secondary (
Zytiga
) before becoming very quickly (less than a year) resistant to castration.

Update on Scan Results
So he came to the conclusion that my dad will stay on
Zytiga
and they will monitor his PSA. My question is, my father’s PSA is still rising, why is that? Is it a good idea to still continue

?

Zytiga with Dexamethasone or with Hydrocortisone?
The doctor did not explain the reason of this switch and we saw limited sharing of using
Zytiga
+ Hydrocortisone.

Possible side effect from ADT
After being on Lupron for 2.5 years and
Zytiga
with prednisone for about 16 months I developed severe headaches and brain fog. I stopped treatment (I was in NED), but could not convince my oncologist to run a MRI. Finally, a year later I was able to convince a neurologist to run a scan.

Small PSA rise after radiation: should I worry?
As previously reported, I discontinued
Zytiga
and prednisolone in early March 2021, having started them in April 2020. I have weight loss, loss of appetite, back pain and stiffness, swollen feet and ankles, and easy bruising of skin, especially on tops of my hands and on forearms.

How long does it take for Zytiga to work?
Started
Zytiga
in May but after 1 month PSA went up from 6 to 10. MO says it can happen that it takes some time for
Zytiga
to work. Anyone else that it took a while to get PSA down?

Not much I can tell you. It worked for a while for me than stopped working. That’s been the same with all the drugs I’ve been on. The good news was I had no side affects.
