Chronic Pain Pharmacist Appointment. Meds advice please.
Finally, have my appointment next week. I’m currently just taking Citalopram 20mg and Ibuprofen and Codeine and co-codamol as needed. I find the Co-codamol gives me terrible rebound headaches but Ibuprofen and Codeine (Neurofen Plus) weirdly does not. Codeine also affects my sleep badly. It sometimes

Alpro Almond Milk..... why do they do this? Any chemists have words of advice?
I stopped having cow's milk sometime ago and have been very happy using Alpro Almond milk instead. It contains Vitamins D2, E, B2 and B12 and calcium as shown in the photo. I noticed today that the packaging had changed and thought to myself "I wonder if anything else has?" So I checked. Yes indeed

Augmentation and Pramipexole
I am trying to come off pramipexole and I am down to 2 a day 88mcq tablets. Is the last part the hardest to do because I feel I need this to end as soon as possible. How long do I stay on 2 a day and then 1 a day? My replacement medicine is 20mg tabs Oxycondone twice a day. At present, I feel absolutely

Clonazepam, Oxy, Perampanel...oh my!
I've been to see Prof Walker who has prescribed me Clonazepam, if that doesn't work he wants me to try Targinact (Oxy) or Perampanel. I'd love to hear back from y'all with your experiences with these medications (positive or negative). [u]
Perampanel:

Hypothyroidism and work patterns
Also I was told years ago at my GP surgery that I should not be working night shifts while on Levothyroxine (I’m on it for life as I had radioactive
iodine
treatment as originally I had hyperthyroidism when I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease.)

struggling with nerve pain after amputation and burn
Hi, I am new to this community and hope I can unload a little bit because I am struggling with nerve pain. I burnt my foot by spilling boiling water over it over 3 years ago, the burn was healing very slowly, I kept getting infections, cellulitis, and swelling. It got to the point that they had to amputate

I really need some help please...
Hi, My partner has encouraged me to join this group as I'm in a big mess with my RA. I'll try and keep it as brief as I can. I was diagnosed with RA (Sero Positive/CCP Positive) in 2021 and given Sulfasalazine. (My partner was trying to get pregnant, so no Methotrexate). My symptoms were joint pain

lidocaine infusion?
Good afternoon everyone. I have Occipital/Trigeminal Neuralgia and have had a variety of treatments for the past 7 years. Most recently a nerve block which went wrong and left me in worse pain. My last option is a lidocaine infusion which I am waiting for. I take Pregablin/codeine/migraine meds etc

Morphine & Oramorph.
Hi all, My dad is now bedridden with CBD. He appears to be in constant pain. Although he can't verbalise. Codeine is no longer keeping him comfortable. Today the GP has prescribed morphine twice daily and Oramorph in between. Has this proven to be an affective pain relief for others please. He already

Co codamol/ codeine. Is this okay for heart patients for temp pain relief?
Pretty bad back pain. Anybody know if Codeine is fine for the majority of heart patients and the meds we all use?

hey all. I just wanted to ask, can endometriosis not be seen by the eye in surgery? I had keyhole surgery and it was clear but there were no biopsies taken. All blood tests / bowel samples are clear. I have all the symptoms of endometriosis but all tests / surgeries are coming back clear. I am awaiting

Restless Legs Syndrome
I have RLS and take codeine 15mg at night. My ferritin level got too high last year so no longer on iron supplements. Wondering how successful ALA is and if it is what dose and what time to take it. Thanks in advance

Worrying about symptoms
Diagnosed with Endo on pelvic wall nearly 3 years ago now. In the past year my symptoms have increased drastically. Heavy, painful periods and spotting randomly (on the combined pill). Lower back pain is excruciating it swells physically. Been to physio and pain management for this, they just say MRI

RLS - Q&A
Hi RLS survivors I am continuing my Pregabalin journey and wanted to check in with this community to ask out loud various questions circling around my head. The good news is that Pregabalin is making a difference. I get some relief from jumpy legs at night even on a low dose (75mg) What I am experiencing
