Has anybody taken Subutex (Suboxone, Buprenorphine to help come off Codeine? What was it like for you and what were the withdrawals like?
I fractured my rib 2 years ago and I was put on Codeine Phosphate to help with the pain. It took a long time for my rib to heal so I took Codeine everyday for 6 months. I knew then that I had an addiction because I didn't want to stop taking them. They just made me so relaxed and euphoric. Anyway 2 year

In Pain after 3 hysteroscopies in 6 weeks, and now have my period - Yay
Hello. Well where to start! I am 40, have had horrific periods (like from a horror film) for most of my life. I started taking anti bleeding tablets about 10 years ago, tranexamic acid, hard to spell! I don’t think they make a huge difference, as most months I get through 40 pads During my periods and

Hospital Trip
So 4 wks after transplant, 2nd trip to clinic. Bit disappointing. I am in pain, constipated on and off & am pretty sure I’ve got a UTI as I’m going to toilet every 20/30 mins and passing little. Nurses were fantastic. Doctor looked at wound, happy with it. Asked me how I was told him codeine was making

Hashimotos disease?
Hi all, my mum got these results & I was wondering why she would have such high antibodies but thyroid levels in range? Does this mean she has hashimotos? She's not on any medication. I myself have graves disease but now hypo after RAI treatment. Thanks.

Pericarditis and effusion
Christmas Eve I started getting really short of breath that worsened very quickly to the point of not being able to t walk more than a few steps without needing to sit down and get my breath back. I’ went to see my gp, as I walked into the building I started throwing up violently . She called an ambulance

Mediterranean diet
There was a question posted recently about diet and how to ensure that you are getting enough nutrients from food. I thought my answer might be useful to others, so here is much of information that I posted and a bit more in case anyone missed it. I attended a course on the microbiome (gut bacteria)

I should have known better
Last night I kissed my wife goodnight and wished her a Happy New Year saying that it was going to be a good one.If anyone deserves a good year then she does. I had very little sleep but having come off Morphine "cold turkey," as they say I have had very little sleep for weeks so I did my usual thing

Iodine when hypo?
Hello I would like to take some
iodine
, selenium and molybdenum to help with my b2 and b12. But I am hypo on 50/75mcg levo with antibodies 950 (autoimmune thyroid). Just wanting to ask is it safe to take
iodine
in this case (just the recommended daily amount)? I find it all very confusing

Allergy to iodine ..why now!?
Is it possible to develop an intolerance of
iodine
after having it for 4 years? The worst I’ve had before is crusting as
iodine
dries. I think they have put it on my notes but will check before next appointment.

If it ain’t broke?????
HOWEVER, now my endo doctor seems to want me off the books and is kind of pushing me into radio
iodine
, I really don’t want to do this right now, I have children and work and with current climate also, it’s not something I’d want to happen yet.

I've just come across this forum and I am really hopeful you all can help me better understand what is happening as Im beginning to feel rather hopeless about it all... Im 19 years old and I had a laparoscopy 3-4 months ago to diagnose and then to treat moderate to severe endo following years of worsening

TSH 5.3
Hi I`ve just received my routine thyroid blood result TSH 5.3. (range 0.53-3.50). Because of COVID I wasn`t able to have the blood drawn early morning but instead at 2.30 pm, so I don`t know if this makes much of a difference? I was originally hyperthyroid, had RAI and have been ok for 6 years with

Can't Find Accurate Description of Liothyronine (T3)
Is there any online site
considered to be a reputable source
that tells users that the thyroid gland only makes a small amount of the hormone, that most is made in the liver by removing one of the
iodine
atoms from the T4 (thyroxine) molecules?
