New hypothyroidism diagnosis
Persistent fatigue and a host of other symptoms saw me also diagnosed with fibromyalgia around 2 years ago and I was given
Amitriptyline
. I have monthly blood tests because of the medication, in December I was inadvertently also tested for my thyroid.

Do I Have IBS?
I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, and I've been reading about
amitriptyline
as a medicine that will treat both. I'm looking for something that will treat IBS and MDD, as the meds I take for MDD just keep me barely going. There's got to be an antidepressant that works for me.

One year after VATS
Gabapenten and
amitriptyline
not helping. No one knows why I have this pain. My cardiothoracic surgeon(20 years in this specialty) says he has never heard of such a thing. Can anyone in this group offer help? Thanks in advance. Best Wishes to you all for improved health 2020:) L.

No levo: feeling much better. What is going on?
I tried taking about 75mcg of thyrogold and again could not sleep until 4am when I took
amitriptyline
which got me to sleep. It wrecks me for the next day though as I sleep in and lose half the day. What is happening: in that I definitely feel better not taking levothyroxine.

Antidepressants?
My rheumatologist prescribed Sertraline and previously
Amitriptyline
but I've had a very bad reaction to both so don't currently take any. My question is that does anyone else not use antidepressants but find pain manageable? Or do antidepressants really help with alleviating some pain?

Migraine for 3 weeks and counting
I am on 30mg of
amitriptyline
a day and 3 x cyclizine to try and keep the nausea at bay. Iāve become scared of eating as I feel so sick which isnāt helping. Had a CT head to rule out stroke/TIA and it was clear. Iām really at my wits end on what to do.

Can't sleep without alcohol. Any suggestions? Need help
I do take
amitriptyline
at night, and it used to help me sleep. Seems like it doesn't anymore. I will start feeling like I'm out of breath, and my body will jerk awake. Or I'll get weird feelings like a quick panic right before in falling asleep.

Baclofen for pelvic pain
I have been prescribed this by my doctor however I am a bit anti towards to many chemicals, I am already tacking
Amitriptyline
2 x 10mg at night and do not think they are of any noticeable benefit. My understanding is that the Baclofen is supposed to help with muscle tension in the pelvic floor.

Sleep struggle because of Effexor
But my doctor mentioned trazadone or
amitriptyline
to help me sleep. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone had anything to add about either of those drugs. Thank you.

Any ideas to help manage my migraines?
I've tried
amitriptyline
, pregabalin and sumatriptan in the past all of which have had no effect on the frequency of severity of the headaches. I've followed David Bucholz's heal your headache diet as well as tried a gluten free diet, both of which have not helped either.
