PMR/GCA and Polycythemia
I have had pmr and GCA for 8 years and am now down to 7 mg of prednisone and trying to get down to 5. However 6 months ago I was Diagnosed with JAK2 polycythemia. Does anyone else on this forum have this condition and is it linked to PMR? I can't find anyone who can give me the answers.

Six months off all forms of b12
Hi I’ve been off all forms of b12 for six months now and got a serum b12 of 241pmol/l and an active b12 of 127 pmol/l on 21/11/17 (its 9/12/17 today). Does this mean I’m not b12d? I began self injecting back in April but had to stop due to developing awful anxiety after each one and then some very negative

Hairless scalp care
I have the lovely chemo baldness and coupled with a round steroid face can't decide whether I look like Uncle Fester or Matt Lucas. 😉 I notice though that the scalp is getting dry. Does anyone have any suggestions for creams or special tricks to use so I don't get cradle cap!

Endometrial cancer despite regular periods

Xarelto or also known as rivaroxaban
Good morning, at the advice of the cardiologist my father started this new medication to replace the warfarin. His INR is now 1.51 instead of 2.5 that used to be with warfarin. The doctor advised that the range with rivaroxaban is different to the warfarin and 1.51 is the perfect norm. Does anyone have

Alk-phos climbing up... 😔
Hello all, Well, got my labs back. Everything is in normal range except my AMA M2 and my alk-phos. It's elevated yet again. Slowly over the past few months it's been climbing. It was 162 three weeks ago and it's 174 today. I'm taking the mid range level of my URSO for my weight but I'm still within

Generic URSO & Effectiveness
This is a repost from a PBC patient on the Yahoo forum. It got me thinking about different brands of URSO and their effectiveness. I'm interested in any feedback because I've been on a "generic" URSO for 8 months with no change. My alk-phos fluctuates but has never normalized. Thanks, Stella I was

Confused
Can somebody orient me. I was diagnosing with pbc three months ago and started on Urso with a great response. Then two weeks ago I visited my hepatoligist and she said I had overlap syndrome which I was proscribed prednisone and azathioprina. So yesterday I took my labs and they came back a little higher

Adrenalin rushes in?
I've had a few weeks where I the daily flushing/nausea/shaking episodes had eased off. But this week, they seemed to be returning. This afternoon, I had a dramatic demonstration that they must surely be related to adrenal dysfunction. The morning had been ordinary, with me simply pacing myself through

2 years ago diagnosis was PMR. A year later I have this rash and find I have Schnitzler Syndrome. Added image just in case anyone else expieriences it. Or I have both. I am beginning to think both for an injection I get monthly, Canakinumab should take care of my range of motion and muscle issues
