Anyone developed type 2 diabetes from steroids? wondering if maybe this is a developing problem for me - I have a high dose steroid inhaler.
just wondered if anyone had experienced this? I’ve just had a short course of prednisolone and feeling very fatigued.

Variable periods of bloating, constipation and normal bowel function.
Currently at 5/5.5 mg prednisolone, and tapering very slowly. I'm in my third year since PMR diagnosis having started on 15 mg.I enjoy a healthy diet with regular exercise, dancing, table tennis and walking, varying the pace with varying pain levels. Grateful for any suggestions for a quick remedy/relief

Does anyone take 15mg Bisoprol daily?
I recently posted a question about taking a medication to shorten an AFib episode and received some really helpful replies- thanks to everyone who replied. I was surprised that a few people were amazed that one of the blood pressure medications I take is 15mg of Bisoprol per day and say they would not

Off pred
Well I've now finally come off prednisolone after 3.5 years and I found you very helpful and supportive. Unfortunately I've had to join the afib support group because just as I've finished with pred I've now had to start beta blockers and blood thinners. I think I'd rather be on Pred. One thing after

burning Ali g spine
I have been diagnosed with GCA Dec 22, started prednisolone 30mg and have tapered a few times but have struggled below 12 and a half, I have recently had to go back to 15mg as recently had headaches and neck pain, things seemed to have settled, but I am now experiencing a burning sensation in my spine

Dealing with an AFib episode without meds.
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal AFib by an Energency Dept Consultant who ordered certain tests to be done in the future and sent me home with Anticoagulants. I wasn’t given any advice on how to manage an AFib episode or a follow up consultation just a letter to say my test results were OK.A year later

A few developments - anybody got similar
Don’t want to bore you all but I have had a couple of developments recently apart from having my Rituximab extended for another year. Firstly I am on statins since last Thursday, I am fit, I get out, eat a low carb/high fibre diet but my cholesterol is around 7 so it just shows you. No after effects

Why is the pain and stiffness much worse in the morning
I find that pain and stiffness lasts all morning but seems to improve if i have a rest after lunch. This does seem to have got worse since I reduced a paltry 1/2 mg to 10.5mg which i was determined to stick to but I have been so struggling to walk or get up the stairs in the morning for the last couple

New to PMR
I have recently been diagnosed with PMR, symptoms cleared up dramatically on 20mg prednisolone, slowing reducing and now on 12.5mg. I am having some muscle stiffness in the morning after doing exercise, mainly from doing workouts with light weights. Should I continue or just do body weight workout? Any

Shocking turn of events and I'm terrified- reassurance appreciated
Hi - sorry in advance for long post!I've had a really shocking turn of events this week (I'm normally on the other forum) and hoping I can get some reassurance. GCA and prednisolone reduction while taking Leflunomide
Hi everyone, I thought I'd give you an update (while apologising for not being around recently). GCA diagnosed last December (PMR previously diagnosed 2020). 60mg pred for a few days then reduced to 40mg and then reductions down to 25mg by the end of January when I started 10mg Leflunomide. After a

Advice please re steroid dose following fall, facial lacerations, broken nose etc…
Hi all, yesterday I stupidly trotted across a road, my leg gave way and I ended up sliding across on my face, hitting my cheek/nose on the kerb. Been to A&E, all sorted apart from sore shoulder which is a little better today. The pain feels very specific in that I feel it only in certain positions or

Rituximab effects
I've given consent to try Rituximab after Prednisolone isn't getting ra under control. I've learnt will be 4/5 hour infusion at hospital. And clothing tip, and food tips thanks peeps. Question is. Can I go to and from hospital by public transport or do I have to have someone collect me? Thanks everyone

Neck Crepitus: Is this onset of GCA?
I'm tapering down since my original diagnosis back in January when I was on 15mg of Prednisolone and am now down to 8Mg going down 1mg every 4 weeks at present. My progress has been great. No Carb diet meant I lost about 21 lbs and I've been training 3 times per week at the gym. I mostly stick to Cardio

inflammation on hydroxychloroquine and 5mg of prednisolone
hello, I saw my rheumatologist today after complaining about my painful hands and wrists. The doctor mentioned that I don’t show any signs of inflammation on my hands or anywhere else. The reason I am confused is because I have been on hydroxychloroquine and prednisolone since September of last year

PMR - Tales of the Unexpected
I’d been suffering with what I thought was a severe PMR flare for weeks and weeks (very stiff leg muscles and sharp cramps especially in the thighs). I was of 5mg Prednisolone daily and was hoping as with past incidents it would settle down and things would return to normal. It didn’t so I eventually
