Help would be greatly appreciated
Due to having been very unwell I am struggling cognitively ATM. Could anyone please tell me which cofactors I need to balance. This is so stupid of me but I can't even read the info in the various books I have. I know I need to check ferritin and folate but what else ? Magnesium ? Thanks in advance

If you have become low in iron / magnesium due to b12 injections eod for 9 months, can your symptoms feel like they are worsening again. I am due to have another private blood test to check my iron status also vit d and folate. But I'm just over a course of antibiotics for a urine infection so waiting

Difficulty tolerating iron
Hello, my ferritin level has dropped over the last two years when I discontinued my iron supplement. I think it's around 17. I do have symptoms, hair thinning, mood issues, trouble sleeping, weight gain, low thyroid. It's very strange as I don't tolerate it well anymore, I've tried several different

Why did I go looking... Zinc inhibits cortisol
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1702662/ So I need to add that into the supplement timing game... not much good taking it at the same time as Hydrocortisone or Adrenal Glandular 😮 https://medericenter.org/resources/dr-pamela-blog/zinc-and-the-stress-response.html Might be handy for anyone with high

Hi Does anyone take Magnesium Supplements? I've been taking one on and off for years but I'm always worrying that I might be taking it unnecessarily. My blood results recently showed normal for Magnesium but I had been taking a supplement at the time and prior to the bloods being taken. I know people

A Bizarre Complication of Levothyroxine Therapy
This is rare - a very sensible discussion about sensitivity to different formulations of levothyroxine. I don't think it is possible to identify the three formulations discussed. India has a fearsome number of formulations available! Letter to the Editor

Awful night sweats: hyper, hypo, other?
Hi. I have pretty awful sleep, possibly worse since recently starting Testosterone Replacement Therapy (HRT for men if you like). I'm a 56 year old man. I've been a long time member here and have had great advice about dosing and blood tests so I'd rather not post my results or detailed medication as

T4 to T3 conversion.
Hi all, I recently had a blood test done and I have a feeling my t4/T3 conversion rate isn't good. I took the test early in the morning,. no food or drink from the night before. I regularly self inject B12 as I have pernicious anaemia. I supplement with D3, magnesium and omega 3 oil. For the past couple

Hi everyone I thought I’d post today to say thank you for all of the wonderful advice you provided in the last few years. I have been feeling well for almost a year now but I stupidly took my eye off the ball a couple of weeks ago. I ran out of B12 and forgot to buy more. All of my symptoms have

Vitamins
Hi all, I used to take a multivitamin tablet daily, until my heart stent age 44 two years ago. My Cardiologist asked me to stop taking them as there were certain vitamins that became not good to take e.g. ones on there linked to clotting. I want to start taking vitamins again. My diet is as good

advice re: magnesium supplements
I’ve seen a few posts already on here saying that
magnesium
citrate
and ? Oxide is not safe for people with AF . Is it Magnesium malate that is safe ? And what doses are required to be effective ? I will check with my arrhythmia nurse specialist before taking . Cheers

Magnesium
Could anyone recommend a magnesium supplement which won’t exacerbate my gastritis. I have stomach issues and finding something suitable is proving very difficult indeed. Thank you.

New treatment
I've come off Pram (by slicing my last pill in half) and am now on Gabapentin 300, after a useful discussion with my GP two days ago, and I've had a blood sample taken to find my ferritin level. Plus I've started taking Magnesium at 375 as an experiment to see if it can affect RLS. I'll report back

Am I going mad?
Hi! I've had so much helpful information from this forum and made copious notes over the last few weeks, I was determined I could get by without asking for help, but no. I'm so upset, after what I've decided is my last visit to the GP as I'm fed up of being fobbed off and coming out like a gibbering
