Just discovered that I have RLS - any advice?

It went away briefly while I was in hospital for a month following open heart surgery but returned quite soon after going home. I have also had a ‘habit’ of moving my feetand wriggling my

🙁 Definitely not part of the plan!
Grrr...😬 spent whole day at my lovely local hospital getting home just now! What I thought was a calf muscle strain after last nights footy session has turned out to be more serious, on crutches now with a torn ‘gastrocnemius’ muscle... (had to Google that one!), good news is scans show tendons and

Woo hoo heart surgery 🫀
Asking for anyone’s experience of surgical ablation as opposed to catheter ablation? Was told yesterday by cardiologist that my case has been reviewed by local teaching hospital with the EP team & they hope to do a surgical ablation (if I want it). Now some people would not opt for surgical treatment

Heart rate :(
My heart rate while resting is about 44 and I’m so scared I’m only 22, don’t really exercise I’d say I walk everyday but I wouldn’t count that as athletic, struggled with diziness and breathless, I applied for a cardiologist appointment but it can take 3 months to come back, it does fluctuate so it can

Changing from Lovenox injections to Coumadin
Is there a standard INR for those on Coumadin/Warfarin? My nephew (CAPS survivor) is transitioning from Lovenox (been injecting twice daily for almost 2 years) to Coumadin starting this week. Dr. checked his baseline INR a couple days ago and it is 1. How do they determine where they want your INR

Good news for those suffering from heart failure, you CAN recover, I DID, thanks God.
First sorry for long post but it could be really helpful to those with heart failure. Nov 2019 ejection fraction at 15% , Mitral valve regurgitations (means not even pumping the 15% out correctly!), Got steadily worse, movement severely restricted, 80-year-old man fitter than me..and i was very fit

Onset of Afib
I need some advice. I had a cryoabalation in July 2018. I have been in sinus rhythm since. I went to bed last night and 2 hours later woke up with a heart rate in the 180s. Spent 5 ours in the ER. Came home and 12 hours later back in sinus rhythm. Is this normal? The only thing I changed was to a Claritin

Newby with LBBB
Hi just found this link and joined. Very recently discovered I have left bundle branch block. I have a slow pulse - anywhere between 40 and 60. I have an erratic blood pressure which is very difficult to take, and has to be done manually. My GP is not concerned but I read somewhere I should get an echocardiogram

A&E fiasco, palpitations, heart attack, bigeminy beats, back home for dinner.
Hi gang, Just had to put this one down for the historical record. Friday telephone appointment with cardio rehabilitation ( I have never seen anyone since leaving cardiology ward, only phone calls) conversation as normal except I had been having isolated missed heartbeat events, maybe 3 or 4 ocassions

New to flec
I went to the cardio because I would have short episodes where my heart would be fast. After a negative stress, monitor and ekg he determined I had afib that wasn't bad. I didn't have high bp basically nothing medically wrong. He put me on 25 mg of metropol 2xs a day and I started having more episodes

How long did it take you to recover after heart bypass surgery?
Hi everyone I had emergency heart bypass surgery about 14 weeks ago. I have spent the “classic” 12 weeks off work, focused on recovery etc. Eating and sleeping is fine, and more or less adjusted to meds ok now. I also do the BHF cardiac rehab level 4 a few times a week, and try to walk about 5 times

APIXABAN - Is it making me feel so wierd
Iam an 87 year old male and have always been relatively fit and healthy. Although I had no symptoms of Atrial Fibrillation, I was diagnosed with A F last Summer and was prescribed Apixaban 2.5mg twice a day. Since then I have felt generally light headed with the feeling of being on the cusp of fainting

Heart Bypass
My partner had a quadruple bypass on the 12th March. He was home a week later, but since then he’s been having awful pain in his left shoulder and can’t sleep properly for it. Any suggestions?
