Way to slow /stop metastases
Dear Friends, This is hot of the press. One of the mechanism of metastatic spread is that tiny pieces of broken cancer cells circulate in blood ..they contain Cancer cell DNA and are called Chromatin pieces. These tiny pieces of chromatin enter into healthy cell and transform them into Cancer cells.

exciting clinical trial
My very long time (20 years!) MBC changed from E+ to triple negative a few months ago and yesterday I was looking on line for clinical trials for TNBC and found one that looks exciting to me, whether I qualify for it or not. It's sponsored by Lyell Immunopharma and targets CAR T cells. I have no idea

Apple Watch
Curious to hear from anyone using an Apple Watch ECG app to monitor afib. On mine I can get a reading saying afib and then immediately measure again and get sinus. I recently started taking Dofetilide, so maybe the medication is helping to resolve afib episodes. Any thoughts on how accurate Apple Watch

AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker
Hi lovely people, I promised I’d get back to you after seeing a cardiologist/electrophysiologist privately. As you might guess from the title, this is what he believes will solve my problem. I will still be in persistent Afib, but won’t feel it. In the meantime he has doubled my digoxin dose and I will

Arrhythmia and Afib are they the same ?
my cardiologist tells me i have severe arrhythmia and will need to take anti coagulants indefinitely; i also had my pprolapsed mitral valve replaced 3 years ago, whether one or other of these conditions existed first is not known. Other than warfarin I take Ezetrol to lower cholesterol. I have no idea

Nicotine Patch helps immensely.
For the last week, I’ve been wearing a 7mg nicotine patch with amazing results. Almost every night since I’ve slept through the night. My symptoms have improved, I have a much better sense of wellbeing. Nicotine has been known for years for its medicinal properties. Eggplant has the second most nicotine

Psma-pet scan results
PCa Warriors: I am on Active Surveillance(AS )with one core GL6 at 10%. I am part of a clinical trial that uses PSMA-pet scan to track progression. I guess the goal is to catch progression early and maybe avoid biopsies. The results are given below. Two things grabbed my attention from the report.

Should the dose of Dutasteride be increased?
The plot above shows the residual (nadir) level of DHT in men as a function of the daily Dutasteride dose (mg/day). The DHT nadir numbers shown in this plot are: 23.8 pg/mL for 0.5 mg daily dose; 10.2 pg/mL for 2.5 mg daily dose; and 7.3 pg/mL for 5 mg daily dose. Ref: Clark (2004) [see Table

I have afib and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy along with a history of 3 ablations and 7 cardioversions. I recently started taking Dofetilitde after the required 3 day hospital stay. IT is now 10 day later and I still have passing epidodes of afib. I am interested to hear about anyone else on defetilide
