Anyone find anti arrythmic drug making afib worse?
I had an ablation July 18. I started having afib episodes a couple days later and doc gave me metrolpolol and flecainaide as PIP. They made me feel dizzy and I didn't tolerate real well but they did make the episode stop at the time. He wanted me on a regular regiment so we switched and he wanted

Ectopics and Digestive Difficulties
I have been dealing with diarrhea recently which I think is being causing by a Turmeric/Curcumin supplement I started taking. My ectopic heartbeats, probably mostly Premature Atrial Contractions (PACs), have started to flare up again. So I stopped taking the Turmeric/Curcumin supplement. Two years ago

Opinions on Lu-PSMA-617 Clinical Trial
Hello all, my father’s oncologist has suggested we start looking into clinical trials or chemotherapy now for his metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (metastasized to the coccyx/pelvic bone in 2019). The trial the oncologist suggested is in the title. Wondering if anyone has gone through

Opinions regarding Clinical Trial 225Ac J-591
Pretty sure husband about out of treatment options. PSA has never cooperated with treatment, except very early on. Overall, he feels fine other than weaker muscle strength and mid to end of day fatigue; wish his insides would be doing as well as his outside. MO recommended him for this trial. Had interview

Current PCa treatment options in the UK do NOT include Triplet Therapy!
Today, I had a phone discussion with my uro-oncology support team and they told me that they NEVER give both chemo and an AR drug (e.g. abi, enza, etc) to prostate cancer patients at the same time - even if advanced. Apparently, the UK "gold standard" of treatment is to give a de novo APC patient either

Cyclist and Runner Exercising with Persistent Atrial Fibrillation - also considering an ablation
Hi – I originally posted the following (or at least a similar version) through the BHF link but didn’t get many replies. I would really like to hear from anyone who is a keen cyclist and/or runner who has developed persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) and either decided to live with it rather than try

OVM-200 clinical trial
Back from a great holiday now and had my 4th non detectable PSA result last Friday so 11th Degarelix injection followed plus Apalutamide pick up. Online consult today with MO so have asked his thoughts on this vaccine trial. He clearly wasn’t aware of it though knew the lead guy ( saying he doesn’t

The other half of Bianco's talk
Tessnow agreed: "The sheer number of people who are doing fine on levothyroxine are going to cover up the potential benefit the combination would give those who are most symptomatic. We need to focus our studies on those patients". In fact, this research gap was among the conclusions from an expert

Summary of Prof A Bianco's book and project: too long to add comment in 1 post but you can see progress
I've just received this as an interested party in Bianco's book and project. It's a long post and I have to send another with the other part of the message. Debate Continues on Combination Therapy for Hypothyroidism Miriam E. Tucker May 20, 2 It's "critically important" for clinicians

A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING KAPLAN-MEIER CURVES
If you don't want to get a headache or confused (like me) don't read this post. I read it because I'm a masochist. And the reason I put it here is because I'm a sadist.👹👹 On the topic - most of us who like to read publications and dig deeper (according to our capabilities) constantly encounter data

afib But low heart rate
I had my cryo ablation at the end of June and have had a hard time still with afib almost everyday… well it finally slowed down to once a week ish but now when I get afib (according to Apple Watch) my heart rate doesn’t go very high. It’s between 60-100 fluctuating. Is that even still afib? Am I still

Recurrent PC
Hello fellow PC warriors. In Jan 19 I completed combo treatment SBRT and Bicalutamide. My PSA started rising 5 months ago signaling BCR. Further testing PSMA PET / MRI confirmed reoccurring PC and my 15 core guided biopsy was mostly 4+5's, one 5+5 all grade group 5. Good news is that it's still

Ablation Success Rate
I have had AFib for as long as I can remember, but it has become gradually worse over the last 4 years. I have not had any surgery, and I haven't had a cardioversion. I am on rate control meds only. I will be seeing an EP in September, but my current cardiologist believes that I have been in AFib too
