Coughing and mucus build up remedy!!!!
Hi all, I just thought I’d share an amazing patch that helped T with mucus build up in his throat due to swallowing problems. It’s called SCOPODERM (Hyacinth) patches, it was prescribed by the Hospice Nurse. In the box it says that it’s for nausea and dizziness BUT they have discovered that it works

My Epic Come-back after a cold!
So, 6 days off, coughing and feeling sorry for myself, just after completing W8 R1. Decided to take my 14 year old son with me, which was good and bad.... W8 R2: Sarah my trainer took 10 minutes off (randomly), luckily I had downloaded Runkeeper, which told me I'd done 20 minutes just as Sarah was

Coby breathed on his own again...
Coby breathed on his own again today during his three-4 hour surgery and as far as I know is still breathing on his own. His knee is completely fixed as shown below 😁😁 and now we are waiting to see if he’ll wake up soon. I’m pretty sure they’ll keep the ventilator in for a couple extra days seeing

Saw you on the BBC today.
Hi All, Saw the IBS network on the BBC this morning, so thought I'd come and say hello. I suffered from IBS for many years it obliterated me from my mid to late twenties until my mid thirties. I lost a lot of my life through anxiety of being petrified of 'accidents' whilst out and about. I'm now

Yellow soft paraffin - update
Thank you everyone for your comments about the paraffin cream. I queried their usage of it and one of the nurses followed through, checked with pharmacy, and now Southampton General will NOT be using yellow paraffin for patients on oxygen! Thanks again everyone, without your support I might not have

I don’t enjoy life anymore
I’m constantly afraid for my health. Pain, discomfort, fatigue, the works. Just today I felt like I had a constant brain freeze and I’m sweating a lot. I’m 20 years old and I’m just trying to do well in school and start my life w my girlfriend but these feelings and sensations are impeding my enjoyment

Yellow soft paraffin BP
Hi, I've come across something this week which may help other oxygen users, maybe you l know this, but I didn't so just in case it helps someone else, I'm posting here. Yellow soft paraffin BP can be used as a lip salve when using oxygen. It is fantastic, the closest I've come to a lip balm and very

My 7th runniversary run 😀
Yes, that's right, 7 years ago today I put on a grubby sports bra, some old trainers, some flappy cotton trackie bottoms and a huge t-shirt. I stuffed my phone down my bra, tucked my house key into my bra as well (crowded in there!), cued up C25K Week 1 Run 1 and set off with Laura to encourage me.

The Unanticipated, Unsolicited and Downright Unwanted Return of Me. There Goes The Neighbourhood.
The two men walked briskly down the narrow corridor, clouds of their condensed breath trailed behind them and hung in the frigid air. Their footsteps clicked and echoed off the painted concrete floor and breezeblock walls. They were each dressed in a knee length lab coat with safety glasses propped ill-fittingly

Tiredness on Buserelin
Hi all, I am new to this group. I’m currently on day 13 on Buserelin. I just wondered how you all coped with work when on the injections? I am absolutely floored with these, constantly tired and emotional. I’m lucky enough that my work is understanding and when it’s all too much I can work from home.

Diffuse axonal injury - please help
My best friend was in a motorbike accident last Monday, he hit his head at speed and suffered a severe diffuse axonal injury. His original scan showed severe trauma but his most recent scan shows improvement. He was unconscious at the scene and was kept in an induced coma from Monday evening to Friday

Dysport
Had my 3 month appointment for botux scheduled for April 2. My doctor told me he'd like to try Dysport as he'd had some success with some patients feeling faster relief and for a longer time (up to 5 months as opposed to 3). It is now day 2 following the injections and it's working. I can bend my
