High Ferritin & more weird symptoms
Hello dear people, A month ago I was having weird heart-ish chest pain, but the EKGs and ER bloodwork did not indicate heart problems, so I've been trying to figure out what's going on. I got two rounds of blood work. Almost everything is in range, but notably, my ferritin was high! 409 (range 15

Starting Levo. B vitamin supplementation without b12.
Iām due to start levothyroxine today and I want to optimise its effects by supplementing. Iām having monthly injections of Vit D and B12. I cannot take B12 orally as it causes nausea. Anybody know a good B supplement without B12? Also I eat a lot of foods containing B12 so hopefully that and a monthly

Systemic enzymes
Does anyone know if systemic enzymes, like Wobenzym, are bad for those with kidney disease. They are to reduce joint pain and inflammation, but I am wondering if they are as bad as nsaids. I have been taking some every day for years, but now I am 3a kd. Hard to find any answers to that question

Point of Interest
I was just trawling over my last very full blood results to see what I could learn. Again! All this towards taking T3 which appears to be my very necessary direction. Really there were no surprises. Vit D low, minor so far knock on effect to bone tests etc etc. However, for thoroughness and making

I'm lost - no idea what I should do
I'm afraid this is going to be a long post. I have reached Liothyronine dose 60 mcg daily = 20 mcg x 3 daily. I have been on Teva because excipients in other brands caused me problems. I have a lot of other problems to consider. I have been trying to get a shoulder replacement operation for over 3

2 rounds of ICSI both low fertilisation and failed
Hi, I am hoping someone will have similar experience and be able to advise. We had our first ICSI in 2020, we were told to do ICSI as my husbands morphology was low. Iāve had a fertility check were they deemed everything was ok with me, tubes fine and good AMH for my age - I am 34 now. We went straight

Dr Tim Spector says we are āmugsā buying supplements
At the Hay Festival, Tim Spector gave a talk on supplements and says that 99% have no effect at all. He did say B12 for vegans and vit D were OK, but the rest should be got from our food. He said āmanufacturers of supplements are going toĀ be the new future junk food companies ā their budgets are massive

5k or fartlek? 5k fartlek!
Iām sort of back on the Nike Half Marathon plan ready for the Great North Run in September. I say sort of because Iām not sure if the long run increases will work for my knee. Iām focusing on doing the other runs and letting the distance evolve. Two runs left from week 1. 5k or fartlek? I thought

Any IVF success stories with own eggs at 45years?
Hi all, I am thinking of doing my last ever cycle, I'm 45 years and low AMH. I already have a son through IVF (3yrs) but seeing as this may be my last chance I was wondering if anyone has had any success? I have been told that it has a chance of 2% success. Am I crazy to try again? I really dont have

Gluten/Dairy restriction, can it really affect your blood results in a short time?
Hi, I have posted here before about levels/symptoms. But I wanted to ask about elimination diets, particularly gluten and dairy and if it makes significant changes to one's blood tests. I did an elimination diet in October, cutting out nightshades, nuts, soy along with dairy and gluten. I reintroduced
