We stopped buying tinned food quite a few years ago with the exception of coconut milk. We buy beans and lentils in cartons and frozen peas but everything else is organic and fresh where possible. Good poll πŸ‘

I get some beans (organic) in cartons from Tescos as well as the dried ones. I was wondering where you get lentils in cartons from?

Hi, I get them in sainsburys. They do a vast range and are very handy!

Hi Debs yes they do they are organic about 65p, they definately do green lentils, chickpeas, black beans, canallini beans, kidney beans and butter beans. I mainly cook for two or three people and one carton is plenty.

Tins are convenient, especially when camping etc. At home I consider fresh and frozen equal nutritionally, but prefer fresh. Dried are a must for pulses, seeds

I have picked tinned, frozen and fresh. Re frozen, I batch cook so freeze the extra portions in the freezer, I find this very handy.

I buy fresh vegetables where possible but buy frozen peas and sweet corn. I've never cooked dried beans so will have to definitely give that a go. I do cook lentils from dried.
