The nearest would probably the West Midlands group which is run by me. Our next meeting is on the 12th May (Sat) in Birmingham city centre. You're more than welcome to join us, junior members also very welcome at our next meeting.

Hi Sunshine

Do try to make it along to the West Mids meeting this weekend. Great chance to meet others with similar experiences. You can gain alot from meeting others but also you will have alot to give too! Please email me if you would like to be put in touch with any others in the Kidderminster area. julie@tourettes-action.org.uk . Very best wishes. Jules

Hi Sunshine, my daughter is 11 and has just been given a probably diagnosis of tourettes by our gp, also we live in kidderminster! I am feeling shocked and a bit lost really as to what to do, if anything. My daughter is of the opinion there is nothing wrong with her and wants nothing to do with it. would love to hear from you

Hi Sarah, I am sorry to hear about your daughter. It was a huge shock for us too but a relief at the same time.

Its good to find someone else in Kidderminster. Maybe we can meet up some time in the future.

Since the diagnosis I've been doing a lot of searching, eg for help at school, reading any books to do with TS. I managed to go to the West Midlands TA group which was very beneficial not only for Joseph who could meet others with TS and for myself to chat to parents etc. We managed to get to the Cardiff conference which was held at the end of April too.

Maybe your daughter just needs a little time to take it all in I am sure she will come round in her own time.

Take care
