Thats quite common i do it a lot

i also have some great conversations in my head while walking the dogs

Me too. I talk about all sorts, sometimes I don't notice someone is behind me, then feel mortified as they've heard the conversation with myself..lol.

Yes - son muttering away to himself right now.

My son talks non stop - but to us (his parents) rather than to him self. It's a constant, never ending stream, which sometimes seems like he's not pausing for breath. He does talk to himself when he's upset though - and usually in a fairly negative way.

I talk to myself ALL the time. Most of it is actually subconscious for me. I kind of just mumble 24/7 but very very quietly
