IBS and acid bile maladsorbtion and depression and anxiety

is there anyone else have IBS and acid bile maladsorbtion and it doesn't matter what you do it still causes pain and lots of bowl movement's

i had the same i was put on Colesevelam 625mg tabs and has help me more in the last two years .but still get flareup from time to time but i have got a lot more control with my

IBS-D .it might help out but every one is different in the meds they take for the different types of IBS .maybe you could talk to your doctor about these 625 tabs

Yes...that is Welchol! I LOVE it and also Colestipol. I have my life back now.

Have you had a SeHCAT test? This measures your rate of absorption of Bile Acids, so enables gastro-enterologist to prescribed medication to suit -.. Only trouble is that, as now, the medication seems to go out of production frequently, so I don't know what we do in the meanwhile! Back to IMODIUM I guess - yuck! Good luck.

carl-godbold - I have that, but I don't get any pain. I take Colestipol to stop the diarrhea...it works like a miracle drug...also another one is Welchol.
