Hello Kentalens

Sorry you’ve got the dreaded TB bacteria! Yes you can drink coffee, but the things that I was told not to take was anything containing tyramine (look it up it will show the foods) any alcohol/ cheese / cured dry meats. Hope this helps x

Hi Kentalens,

I have not heard of there being any issues with TB medications and coffee. However, I would recommend that you check if there are any specific restrictions for any of the medications you are taking.

You can ask a pharmacist, your TB doctor or Nurse or check the patient information leaflets for the medications you are taking. They are usually included in the packaging and can be found by searching online here: medicines.org.uk/emc/browse...

Best wishes,

Helen
