Gefitinib break. 2 new tumours
I am now back on the full dose while we wait for test results for
osimertinib
and immunotherapy treatments. Has anyone had any experience of taking a short break and their cancer recurring or growing in such a short time.

Tagrisso/Osimertinib side-effects?? Nails lifting???
Hi all - I have been fortunate to have been given Iressa/Gefitinib as first line treatment for stage 4 lung cancer. I had been on that almost 3 years when the cancer started to grow again. Found to have T790M mutation and put on Tagrisso three months ago - good shrinkage of all tumours from latest scan

A Lung Cancer Blogger's Story
My treatments to date: erlotinib for 10 months, then a phase 2 clinical trial of rociletinib for 8 months, and most recently
osimertinib
for 8 months and counting. I am currently feeling shockingly well. I am a realist, however, and know that this lovely period will not last forever.

Osimertinib (Tagrisso)
This time the Scottish Medicine Consortium have asked us to do submissions on behalf of patients on
Osimertinib
(Tagrisso). Please if you are currently on a trial or being considered for it get in touch, we need quotes (as many as possible) we need to know how it compares with existing treatments.

FDA approves another blood test for a mutation (T790M) in lung cancer
The test that was just approved is a companion test for
osimertinib
(Tagrisso®), which is approved for use in patients whose lung cancer has the T790M mutation. The T790M mutation is linked to resistance to EGFR-targeting drugs.
