Supercharged jejunoscopy
I underwent this procedure in 2007 following having my oesophagus removed in November of the previous year - I would add that the
oesophagectomy
was undertaken due to a medical error in that it was discovered in the histology that there was no cancer and another biopsy had been confused with mine.

steroids
Hi there, I am 2 years post
oesophagectomy
, and I am now on steroids dexamethasone, but I am having terrible rashes on my legs and arms that keep on bleeding. I am on a 2mg daily dose, but the doctor has advised to go to a 1mg daily dose. Has anyone else had a problem with steroids?

Total oesophagectomy after having metal work from osteosarcoma of the spine go through oesophagus
I'm new here and wanted some advice regarding my surgery on 22 February. This is a bit of a long story but I'll try and make it as brief as I can. I'm 42 with 2 young sons. At the age of 20 I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma which is a form of bone cancer. I've had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery

Next Steps ?
Has anyone had the
oesophagectomy
where the whole of it is removed? Or has anyone had radiotherapy for this? I'm feeling so afraid & worried. Thank you, Blondie.

Just a diet problem
Hi everyone, I had my
oesophagectomy
6 years ago, and apart from dumping and reflux I've been quite well. A few months ago I noticed more reflux, or even vomiting after meals, and sometimes gagging during meals . Of course I immediately became convinced the cancer was back.

BARRETT'S OESOPHAGUS -- how is the likelihood of it becoming malignant monitored?
Only a few years ago, a patient who was not fit for
oesophagectomy
would no longer be offered surveillance. With the advent of highly successful endoscopic treatment for dysplasia,[21–23] this is no longer appropriate.

Life on a Feeding Tube
My name is Sharon and I am 68 years old. I underwent an Esophagectomy in 2007. I lost at least 25 pounds weight-wise and had the usual problems with certain foods, eating too soon before retiring etc. I have progressively worse difficulties with the production of phlemn which not only nauseates me, but
