I had an ablation in September. I read the Drs letter they gave me when going home and it looks like they’ll be taking me off Sotalol. I had to stop this for 2 days before my ablation and it started my AFib off, so obviously I’m worried about stopping it again. I am on 80mg twice a day now. They reduced

I had a pacemaker check a few weeks later and it was clear that I still had an unsafe arrhythmia despite being on 10mg of bisoprolol daily, dose changed to 7.5mg twice daily but I was still getting problems and tbh was feeling extremely tired and somewhat depressed!

I'm headed for a cardioversion in the next couple of months and the arrhythmia nurse has asked my GP to prescribe amiodarone. I've been on amiodarone before, for 12 months, in the run up to and after a successful cardioversion.

I’ve started daily dosing and have seen reduced arrhythmia. I don’t know if it’s a placebo or actually works. would be interested to hear any experience you have?

Hi all, at my last consult with cardiologist he suggested staying on low dose metoprolol for another year and possibly permanently as for me it might help suppress the adrenaline spike that can bring on my AF. I’m on about 10mg twice daily of metoprolol tartrate. The equivalent in Bisoprolol is 1mg.

Before anyone says it, I will also ask the arrhythmia nurses at the hospital, but you have to leave them an answerphone message and it takes several days to them to reply, so I just thought I’d find out what others have been advised.

I wrote about Toprol (Metoprol) a few minutes ago. I forgot to mention that I also take Flecainide, 100 mg. twice a day.

Hello Had PAF for over 11 years...11 days ago I flipped into AF and haven't really been out of it much. Was taking PIP bisoprolol which slowed it down to an ok level...it used to fix it so I'd return to NSR. Not this time. A few calls to the Arrythmia nurses and they call me into their clinic. Sent
