A - Alexandria - fascinating history and never been to northern Egypt. It’s on my list of places to go!

B - Brisbane

Not as exciting as Alexandria, but my wife is from there and we were supposed to be going for a visit pre-Covid, so looking forward to when we can finally reschedule.

This game could have legs..

So on to D...

Damascus

In fact... anywhere in Syria... but sadly that doesn’t look like it will happen for a long time. We nearly went 20 odd years ago but went to Sri Lanka instead.

Enstone.....very small village on the outskirts of the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire where I come from and went to school. My family still live in the village and the rest of the family are all within about 10 miles.

I had a mental health breakdown 4 years ago, ending up spending sometime in our local psychiatric hospital for a few months. I haven’t traveled home since.......from here in Dumfries and Galloway it take nearly 7 hours to get there - I just can’t cope with travelling that far in the car, I am sore from being in the car for 20 miles ☹️

I need to go home at some point.....I have lost the last of my grandparents and wasn’t able to get home for the funeral. My Mum and Dad are getting older as the years go by. It is also a case of finances too........even though we could stay with my parents, I don’t want to for personal reasons.

It’s something that I have to do for my mental health, but chronic pain makes things 100 times harder 😢

My family will also see a huge change in my physical ability. I used to love going shopping for the day with my cousin when I went home for holidays.......I don’t think that they appreciate that I just can’t do that anymore 😢

Hopefully one day you will get back to Enstone. I'm sensing this is something quite important to you. When the time comes, perhaps the journey may not be enjoyable as you say, yet hopefully the experience as a whole could be satisfying and fulfilling for you.

F - France... particularly down near Chamonix. Although I can’t do hill walking and rock climbing now I still love the area and we have many fond memories there!

G - Galapagos Islands! The remoteness, wildlife, beauty of the islands terrain and coasts have sparked my interest for years. The practicality of getting there in my lifetime - that's what I'm unsure about! I can live in hope :)

Oooo. Nice one! That would be amazing!

H - Hawaii

Why...? The beautiful beaches? The welcoming people? The geography? No... I want to go the Keck Observatory! They have the world largest optical and infrared telescopes! Well cool!!!!

Nobody got I yet?

Well.... I will say India! Love the food, love the culture, love the tea, love the people. Never been to India but would love to visit, especially some of the off the beaten track areas my grandad served in during his army service and also to visit where my great great great grandmother was born.
