Whether passed or present, today we take the time to celebrate our wonderful mums who put everything and everyone before themselves.
When my mother died from melanoma on New Year’s Eve 2005, I thought my world had ended. But, over time I realised that she had left me with a very important job.
I do that job, through Skcin, every day in her memory and because of her we have saved many lives and will continue to do so.
Her devotion, compassion, selflessness and bravery is what drives me and continues to inspire me and the work we do at Skcin - she remains the wind beneath my wings to this day.
