Has anyone tried washable diapers? Did they work ok?

Yes, I have a little over a dozen flat pre-fold cloth diapers. They are a little work to clean but once you get a system that works down, it's not bad. What I like the best is how much they save me on the long run and also the fact that I can sleep on my side with no worries at all.

Your post has made me think about something that has been in the back of my mind.

I have always wondered if one of the biggest obstacles to using a washable product is that many people live in apartments (or even homes) without a washing machine and dryer. I don't think you are allowed to wash diapers in a public commercial laundry facility.

I'd love to know if any of you have that issue - that you'd be happy to buy washable diapers but don't have the equipment to do it at home. And you cannot take them to a Laundromat.

I use them almost exclusively. Work great, but shop around. prices vary considerably. Other than washing as needed, much cheaper in long run
