Any masturbation? That can cause irritation.

Looks to me more like slight irritation from m jerking off. Also had that regularly. Should disappear after a few days.

this is a very localised skin change , im not sure I would call it balanitis necessarily as only one area is affected. You had protected sex, not sure what your sexual preferences are, if you had unprotected oral with a male partner, I would be getting a syphilis check done.

No I didn't say that . Its a localized skin change , there could be a wide range of options, including an eczema like change etc. However any changes on the glans skin that are new , in a gay man I would always recommend a syphilis check. The chance of this being syphilis in a heterosexual contact is small.

If you are in the UK, you can order self testing kits for free from the NHS , which include a fingerprick blood test. This may not be available in all parts of the UK, check the Net.

Maybe it's just irritation. I got this several times when I clean with soap. Give it 2 - 3 days and see if it become to normal.
