Having one word to keep in mind for the year to guide your thoughts, perspectives, and behaviors, can make a huge difference in the way you feel. Think about what is most important to you and try to select a word that's meaningful to you and your life. Some examples I've heard recently are balance, thrive, resilience, and trust. There are no real rules here, so I chose 2 words - Peace and Joy because I'd like to work toward having a little more of both! I usually write mine on a sticky note and keep it where I can see it daily.

Grit is a good one! I felt like I needed 2 words this year - Peace and Joy - because I'd like to bring a little more of both into life. Maybe I should just spell it Peace&Joy!

My word is calm. So much is happening in my world I feel sometimes that I'm in the middle of a maelstrom. If I maintain my calm I can remain in control of me.

I love your perspective. Such a good thing to remember when life gets overwhelming.

Thought this might be a good place to share. A coworker's husband was diagnosed with sclc in 2006, he had a single line of treatment concurrent chemoradiation then preventative cranial radiation. Seven years later a heart attack ended his life but the lung cancer never returned.

Sending hope you beat him!
